Magistasis

Aside from college and other matters, the biggest thing keeping my attention away from Post Crusade was this.

This is a new story I’ve been quietly working on for a good 18 months now, meant to be the adventure story I’ve always wanted to write. I have yet to talk about it in any real capacity, so here’s a little compilation thing.

- - -

Many years ago, began to lose our magic.
It took everyone by surprise. Slowly and surely, crops began to fail, weather grew more out of control, spells couldn’t be cast. And then ponies started dying…
They decided that we couldn’t stay. Not if we faced extinction. Maybe somewhere in the unknown world, we could find our savior. Find our magic again.
But they couldn’t take all of us.

Magistasis is an apocalypse story, set many years in the future in the aftermath of the Abandonment, ponykind leaving Equestria behind in search of a new home. Those considered cursed were simply left behind to fend for themselves in a wasteland, inhabiting a world starved of magic.

Pound Cake is the last remaining resident of Ponyville, the reserved but inventive son of the town bakers. Separated from his family, he had learned to care for himself and live off what little resources remained in the ghost town, effectively isolating himself from whatever lies beyond.

But seclusion doesn’t serve him well, and he dreams of setting off to search and reunite with his family, wherever they may be.

An opportunity arises when a wanderer stumbles upon his village for the first time, a high-spirited filly with a cursed leg named Rocket Booster. Despite Pound’s reticence, the two form an unlikely partnership and attempt to pursue the impossible: find where all the ponies went.

Their journey takes them to the edges of the unknown world, encountering all sorts of creatures new and familiar, and facing new dangers brought about by a magicless world.

I’d reveal more, but they might constitute as spoilers if I ever decide to do more with this store. I guess if anyone wants extra info (The killer Curses, characters, extra backstory), you can hit me up maybe.

But yeah, I just wanted to get this all off my shoulders. Hope y’all like it.  = 2=

Sweetie belle ([removed]@outlook.com) submitted: Hi I’m princess sweetie belle

((I love how the submitter had enough self-awareness to tag this post as a lazy question that’s the first time that’s ever happened.))

Valedictorian [full res]

Eyyy it’s @post-crusade art! Not an update, but a distraction an exposition!

For those unfamiliar with Post Crusade, it’s an AU blog where the CMC earn their marks separately and acrimoniously split ways, leaving them to deal with growing up on their own.

PC Sweetie entered a sort of renaissance during her final years at Ponyville Schoolhouse, maturing rapidly (in a moderately negative way) and excelling at her studies. At graduation, she was at the top of her class, given royal honors, and accepted to some gifted student secondary school where she continues to fine tune her music/theatre skills.

Ah, if only she appreciated it a bit more :T

Oh, and she also has those adorable glasses that get replaced not too long after this pic was taken. And the extra swirl is growing in. Continuity! :D

Finally, yes, the episode “Filly Forever” served as motivation for this.

(I swear I’m working on updates nyehhh. Also, Patreon is a thing.)

PC’s Fifth Birthday! (full res)

God damn, it’s been five years.

I actually don’t have much to say, it’s still dawning on me that it’s been that long since I started this comic/blog thing on paper in high school.

Honestly, I think the only thing I have to say is this

Thank you.

You guys have been a great audience and some fantastic supporters throughout the years. I honestly don’t think I would’ve made it this far without you guys, and all the great friends I’ve met as well.

So here’s to another year! Hopefully I can soon get off my butt and try to update some more!

(Sorry again for the slowness. Life and other projects and all the jazz. I’m trying my best ;-;)

Mentions after the break!

Did you had to make the questions and answers that hard to read?

Yyyyyeah, that wasn’t a great idea in hindsight.

These are the asks up close.
