Shrapnel from a Bosnian land mine as it looked when I received it from the More Than Nothing team. It's now been painted and will be part of A Collection of Somethings, a group show and benefit that includes the likes of Swoon. The opening is Oct. 9 at Kindolk 94. #fbf to a painting I made in 2009 (for a show at Alex Sloan Gallery in the LES) which was its own flashback to the tattered Animals book I had as a kid, and in which I drew speech bubbles over all the animal etchings, this painting being a replica of one of those 6 year old defacements.
