I am so fed up of hate in the community recently. I have seen it with two people on my dash within two days but I’m sure it happens a lot more. People are allowed to speak their opinions on their own blogs, that is what this space is for! If you don’t like what people are saying or doing, leave. If you want to say something to them, why send them anon hate? If you’re going to say something to them, either don’t hide or make it be constructive criticism. Make it be a decent conversation, a debate if you will. Don’t just be hateful, because that is plain rude. I’m sure I will now get some hate for calling this out, but I am disgusted that we, as a community, are doing this to our own. We are here to help and support each other, not to hate and fight with each other! So let’s call a truce and resume normal programming of pretty stationery and study tips, yeah?

Summary of Fallout 4 Conference

  • The game begins before the bombs fell
  • Character Creation is going to go the Sims 4 route, you’ll be able to pull different features in order to achieve the look you want
  • You can play as male or female
  • Both appear to be fully voiced
  • A baby will be created by how you make both the male and female characters look 
  • You are lowered into the vault 
  • You emerge the sole survivor of Vault 111 200 years after entering
  • It is the same character. Cryogenics? Sleeping? Who knows how you survived 200 years. 
  • The Dog
  • It seems like you can recruit him early on
  • You’ll be able to issue commands to him 
  • Vats is back, but it does not stop time, only slow it down. 
  • It’s confirmed to be in Boston, but a time line was not confirmed. 
  • New Pip-Boy
  • Will be released with the Collectors Edition
  • An Andriod and ISO app will be released to play along with the game itself. It’ll have the appearance of the actual Pip-Boy in game.
  • You scroll to get to different categories.
  • You find it outside the Vault. Which implies that they weren’t given them inside of the Vault, which seems strange. 
  • There are going to be game tapes that you can find, and will enable you to play different games on your Pip-Boy
  • There will be a layered armour system. Meaning that you can pick and choose what armour goes where
  • Building will be a big edition 
  • You will be able to scrap and rebuild things as you see fit. 
  • Yes, this means you’ll be able to create your own home, decorate it as you like, and create a settlement. 
  • The settlement will attract traders, and other people. 
  • You can build defenses, as it can be attacked by raiders. 
  • You can now build your own weapons. 
  • There are 50 base weapons, with 700 different modifications to be made to them. 
  • Which means, you can also modify your own Power Armor
  • It appears that you can fly Helibirds
  • There’s a few new enemies that I picked up on
  • Mirelurks Queens. 
  • Bloodbugs, which look like giant mosquitoes. 
  • Something called Synths? They appears to be a faction of some sort. 
  • Also, existing groups have different categories now. Psycho Raiders for example. I imagine it changes how they attack
  • There were also several returning enemies I picked up on
  • Molerats 
  • Ghouls
  • Raiders, with new classes
  • Mutants, with new classes
  • The new Deathclaws look like death itself, and it appears that they can now grab you during combat. Hooray

Finally, we were given a release date!

November 10th 2015 Fallout 4 will be released!

I love how they fucked up VATS.

Questing in Oblivion vs Questing in Skyrim

Oblivion: Some women are robbing and blackmailing married men. I need you to find the suspects, let them try to seduce you, and catch them in the act. Skyrim: Some women are robbing and blackmailing married men. I need you to go into this dungeon full of Draugr and kill them.

Oblivion: These ghosts are haunting my ship. Here’s a silver sword. Can you kill them for me? Skyrim: These ghosts are haunting my ship. Here’s the location of a dungeon full of Draugr. Go and find an item from there to help me drive them away.

Oblivion: Climb into the well out back and fetch me a ring that sunk to the bottom. JOKES ON YOU! That ring is going to make you drown. Skyrim: A bandit stole my ring, man. Can you go into this dungeon and get it back for me? Oh, and watch out for the Draugr.

Oblivion: Guess what? You’re trapped on an island where hunters hunt people for fun, and you’re the prey. Have fun! Skyrim: Some guy is running a game on an island where people hunt other people for fun. Word has it he’s in a dungeon nearby looking for treasure to fund his game. Go and kill him. What? You want to see this game for yourself? Nonsense, the dungeon will be far more convenient. Off you go. Try not to trip over any Draugr.
