everyone thinks latin is a hard language to learn because it’s dead or because the grammar’s difficult or something like that but latin is actually hard because you keep accidentally summoning demons while you study and it can get kind of hard to do your homework when they’re all fighting over the soul you apparently just sold to five of them by mistake
I’m not a graphic designer, but I enjoyed the process of trying different things for this little pattern to be replicated as a symbol on a small ribbon. I immediately started thinking about what I’d seen before, and what catches my eye is something quite elegant and subtle. I’ve always felt, whenever I’ve bought pink ribbons before, that the simplicity of the concept is so brilliant.
If enough people all give just a little, like in this case, the project receives millions and can make a huge difference. And it’s all because each person has bought a little ribbon.
It’s the idea of many drops forming an entire ocean together. The wave I’ve designed for the ribbon is a symbol of the hope and strenght that I think we all possess in the fight against cancer.

No one before Bernini had managed to make marble so carnal. In his nimble hands it would flatter and stream, quiver and sweat. His figures weep and shout, their torses twist and run, and arch themselves in spasms of intense sensation. He could, like an alchemist, change one material into another - marble into trees, leaves, hair, and, of course, flesh. - Simon Schama’s Power of Art. Bernini
