After working on this illustration for almost a week, I can finally show the final version of it!
I experimented A LOT with color palettes and different ways to paint in the process. In addition, it was the first time I tried to explain my perception of two of my favorite characters in the series and their relationship through their poses/expressions. It was so much fun tbh !! :’))
Oh, btw I was inspired by this song when I drew the first sketch!

Long-short story: Redraw of the Nozomi fairytale promo UR because people on the SIF subreddit were unsatisfied with the bland poses and poor bgs of the 9 promo URs and some artists were redrawing them!! but personally I prefer the artwork from the promo UR over the original fairytale SR Nozomi…

a lot of people seem to take for granted that hitomi seriously values sayaka
in the concept art of episode 11, it’s revealed that one of the silhouettes above is hitomi’s; uncontrollably crying caused by the guilt she feels over sayaka’s death. madoka, knowing the truth, is unable to comfort her
however, after madoka becomes a goddess and takes her away, sayaka doesn’t leave a body. in wraith arc, which serves as a sequel of the series, hitomi confesses she didn’t confess to kyousuke, lost sleep due to the guilt and begs kyouko for some information about her whereabouts
i hope she gets a bigger role soon!
