Rereading VA, some cool shit I noticed
It’s pretty common (and pretty understandable) how a lot of fanon interpretations of Giorno hate Abbacchio, given his conduct. But their actual relationship in the manga is kind of more complex than that, I think!
After the MITM stuff, Giorno actively praised Abbacchio for his essential role in the fight and his willingness to sacrifice his own life, something Giorno never actually did there. He easily could have disregarded Abbacchio’s contribution (which is understandable) but he didn’t, he spoke highly of him.
Furthermore, Abbacchio is one of the ONLY people in the comic to ever make Giorno smile, after he makes his speech and chooses to accompany him and Buccellati.
He was also visibly shaken and anguished when Abbacchio was killed, just as shocked as any of the others were. He also made one of his trademark flashy speeches about Abbacchio’s will and stuff, and talked about him and his legacy when he was fucking up Diavolo’s shit at the end.
TL;DR, Giorno admired Abbacchio and spoke highly of him even after his death, and wasn’t a big bitch over the piss-stunt.

Partly because I just want to rp a bisexual character with those preferences, and partly because I find a lot of the JoJo fandom really seems to undervalue women. Don’t get me wrong, the gay representation is good, but there’s precious few blogs for the girl characters out there, and those that do and do try to portray their muse as sexy and beautiful don’t usually get the same sort attention that sexy male blogs do. Ultimately it’s just a character-detail though, I’m not expecting to start a revolution and don’t want to. He likes women more than men, that’s basically it.
I thought I did a fair bit of hinting at a particular man Abbacchio is interested in though. I like the ship in question a great deal, but since my blog isn’t a ship-blog I don’t expect it to become the focus of it.
