life hack: be best friends with a slytherin. they will steal cupcakes for you from work and tell you to drop toxic people from your life with no reservations. they will be the ones ordering you to stop and breathe and call in sick, to screw your commitments if they see you’re sacrificing your mental health. they’re the ones to say “don’t you dare settle” and “you deserve better” in a ruthless, matter-of-fact tone. they’ll be the ones saying it’s okay to put yourself first, the voice you need to hear after a long day or week or month. trust me, be best friends with a slytherin.

Deborah Is The One

By now, voters are starting to realize that Rick can not live up to his ludicrous promises. I’m endorsing Deborah because she has all of the qualities crucial in a leader: experience, experience, and humility. Most important of all, she has humility. World-renowned DMCA anti-torrenting bounty hunter and Deborah-endorser Marcus Wallaby said it best: The polls and political power. We are running to invest in the difference between victory and demonstrate the election is so many incredible voters. Because of this election. Yesterday, Deborah announced her plan. Yesterday, Deborah is only possible because millions of your support, and we can't stop now. We've built a very good chance to have an endless surplus of people in our system. It’s hard to deny the power of such stirring words. Make the right decision. Vote for Deborah. Yours, Dontforgettobeallison #ProudDeborahSupporter #TimeForDeborah

People keep saying, “what if men did what you did to ghostbusters but the other way around!!!!!” but 1) You can’t. There isn’t one major blockbuster from the past 30 years with enough girls to do that with, and 2) Don’t assume that I wouldn’t completely support an all male cheetah girls reboot

Yeah. $200 a day, 365 days a year since you were 12. That’s two decades, so times 20 which is $1,460,000, I think. I mean, I am just a dumb bunny but we are good at multiplying.

A Lesson on Zootopia

With all the attention Zootopia has been getting for its impressive moral-telling, I feel like this needs to be said because a lot of people are missing the point.

Zootopia isn’t about racism or sexism or any other human social conflict that our personal biases would automatically assume who plays the role of the “good guys” and who are the “bad guys”. It isn’t about any of that because they’re animals, not humans.

Zootopia is about prejudice. As in, the general concept. It’s about how prejudice can affect individuals, society, and especially how others can manipulate prejudice for their own gain, whether that be by excluding outgroups from social participation, or perpetuating lies and fear in order to use a state of victimhood to guarantee social privileges.

It’s about how prejudice isn’t a one-way street, that anyone can have it and any group can suffer from it, whether because an individual believes in that prejudice or because the rest of the world tells them they should feel that way.

It’s about individuals taking their individual experiences to demonize an entire group, and considering any exceptions to that rule to be either impossible or irrelevant.

It’s about how prejudice towards anyone, over anything, for any reason is wrong.

Anyone can be anything. Even the so-called good guys can have bad practices. And the point is that we work a little harder everyday to put a stop to those practices, whoever may be behind them.
