❇║It was actually quite nice to see a smile on Lucina’s face. She had such a lovely smile, Tania could only wish they could see it more often. However, she would keep that little thought to herself until all of this turmoil and trouble was over. Once the world was at peace, then Lucina could really smile, right? Tania hoped so. “Maybe, if we’re lucky, when we make camp we’ll find a whole field of freshly bloomed flowers. Wouldn’t that be lovely?”

Image

"Yes, I suppose it would be." And she would lie in that field of freshly bloomed flowers, taking in their scent, marveling in their beauty. And she would smile, smile, smile. Smile as if she'd never seen the chaos she had seen in her world, as if there was no war to be had.

❇║"Yes, I suppose it is a good thing." No more worries about cold or snow or ice, but now came the problem of staggering summer heat. There was still time — but Tania disliked having to shed her coat to cool off. "I suppose for a while we’ll be seeing flowers blooming quite often, wont we?"

"Yes. Flowers... I suppose we will," that actually brought a smile to the usually stoic princess' face. She adored flowers, loved to collect them and weave them into her hair. Yet that feminine side of her was unknown to everyone but her mother. "It will be quite beautiful."

Elysia had meant the word innocently, and catching Lucina’s flustered reaction, she realized her slip of the tongue.

"Oh…. Gods, did I really say ‘date’?"

image

"I didn’t mean it so much like a romantic date or something like that, just spending a day out with a friend."

Image

"All right, Elysia. I believe you, I truly do..." She looked as if she were in some sort of dream-like state. Perhaps the thought of going on a date with the woman appealed to her far too much. Clapping both her hands together, she declared loudly, "So, it is time for us to go!"

"I doubt protection would be needed," Elysia said, with a smile. Always with a mind on her duty, Lucina was. "Though it would be favorable to have another by my side in case the worst should happen. No, I predict this date out will be more enjoyable and relaxed." Relaxation was the watchword.

Image

"Date?" That certainly caught her attention. She'd never been on a "date" before, but she'd heard many speak of doing so! In fact, her mother and father went on them from time to time, to places around the city of Ylisstol. "I... I hope it will," she spun a strand of hair around her finger, looking flustered.

Being dumbfounded by his cousin’s unexpected taste in fashion, he scratches his head.

"It is great and all that you are getting in touch with your feminine side… But don’t you think that dress is a bit too bright?" He points to the bright shade of pink that is widespread on the dress.

Image

"It will match mother's hair and bring out the blue in her eyes. I just know it." Lucina stares at the dress longingly, clasping her hands in front of her chest. "I only choose the best for her." Perhaps the dress was too over-the-top, but Lucina was too blinded by love for her parents to see it. All she wanted was to please them.

"Lucina... I know we're not the best of friends, but I was wondering if you wanted to accompany me on a town leave. There's a local tavern whose dining I wished to sample and I'd like to go with someone."

"So you're inviting me?" The princess seemed rather baffled by that--not many invited her out, most were too intimidated by her stoic nature. Yet she seemed touched by this offer. "Of course... I would love to. You will need someone there at your side to protect you, will you not?"

[I’ll try to start it I guess o Ao]

During their trip in the land of Valm, Owain notices Lucina looking at a particular dress in the shops of the country.

image

"Hoy there! Why would a dress interest the Serious Heir of Ylisse? Would it be that you are interested in fashion, or is it a gift for someone?"

Of course, even on their trips, she would do as much windowshopping as she could. There were beautiful dresses here, ones she was sure her mother would like (unlike the last one!). Tapping her chin, she turned her head to look at Owain with the slightest of smiles.

"It is a gift... for mother, of course. Not for myself. I don't... look well in dresses."
