I don’t give a fuck who has an issue with that. I am proud of my skin, and I’m proud of my french and germanic heritage as well as my italian heritage. I am proud to be a part of a unique blend of histories and cultures, regardless of what tumblr or anyone else says or thinks and I refuse to feel guilty for the violence in that history because I didn’t do it.

Every race of people that has ever existed has committed violent, sickening atrocities - this is not exclusive to people with fair skin.

I refuse to feel guilty for my white skin because it offends you.

I refuse to be embarrassed of the racial markers that I am a product of a culture that had a hand in the same blood drenched history every other culture and heritage has taken part in across time.

It is not progressive to feel guilty for something you can’t change about yourself.

It is not justice to be ashamed of your pigmentation.

Whether you’re black, purple, pink or white, be proud of the skin you were born in. It’s the only one you’ll ever get. Acknowledge the history behind it - but never let anyone try to chain you to that history. You didn’t do it and you are not responsible to carry it. Be a good person, despite the people that tell you you’re bad because of a genetic marker than determines your skin color.

When they hate you, laugh at them. When they mock you, feel pity for them. When they come for blood, stand tall and dare them to open that vein themselves.
