I had to take out a loan to afford my hormones today which put me $55 in overdraft. I absolutely cannot afford to pay that plus my $35 phone bill and $25 credit bill due. Please, please help me out. I know I ask a lot but so much shit is (past) due and I'm so extremely stressed out that it's worsening my chronic pain and my paycheck will be nearly decimated by this. To make matters worse, we're trying to secure housing and a functioning car. I'm T4T, plural, and Jewish if that helps. I'm turning off reblogs after this reaches its goal.

i'm such a big fan of laios using being well fed as proof that he's serious. like there's so many techbros & etc who will use not eating breakfast as proof that they're productive & just in general, the idea of being "too busy to eat" is getting more common (which is exactly what toshiro is doing here!) but laios is like. no. i'm so serious about this i'm thinking about what comes next. i'm so serious about this i'm making sure my body can do everything it can when i need it.
the fact that everyone in the party took care of themselves & carefully planned out their route & when they'd take breaks is what made them so successful. they always made sure to understand their limits

hi my storage is a week late and i need $50 by today to make my afterpay payment. afterpay is more important atm but my stuff in storage is also at risk of being auctioned off 😔
oh and also i ordered the wrong size of catheter securements. i need $50 for that too - uti might be brewing and im having a lot of bladder pain and my tube being unsecured is just making it worse 😔
want to sleep SO bad but i rly cant until my afterpay is paid bc I'll get a late penalty at midnight :(
afterpay has been covered! tysm 💜 now need the $50 for cath securements and $265 for storage! both kind of urgent lol
someone sent $100 so I used 50 of it for catheter securements and 45 of it for groceries because I'm out of food stamps. thank you 🫶🏽

i think a thing to keep in mind about shuro (and i am making this unrebloggable bc i do not trust the broader website to not be racist about this) is that he is a man from "fantasy Japan" in a setting created by a Japanese woman.
he is a wealthy Japanese man from an established family, in a setting where class is an important element created by a Japanese woman
some of shuro's behavior is frustrating and, indeed, hurtful to laios when laios is the one the audience is intended to sympathize with. this is an intentional storytelling/characterization choice. and, i think, possibly a critique of certain aspects of Japanese society?
and shuro outright admits to envying how straightforward laios can be... he comes from a different culture within the setting and is himself aware of that. like, look, i find shuro frustrating especially in That Scene, as i think is intended, but holy shit he is as complex as everyone else
idk i probably just haven't seen this discussion but based on what i have seen, fans from the u.s. at least are leaning way too into the idea that shuro and his party are the standard "fantasy Japanese" group you might get as-written by western writers for "flavor." but like. dungeon meshi is actually a Japanese story, so.
