This… Is how ever artist is - whether we draw, write or even roleplay… Our characters speak to us, they let us know how they feel, how they think… It’s why I cherish each character I have ever rp’d because… They’ve become a part of who I am. All of the characters I write as… I give life to and that to me is a beautiful thing.

I agree with this full heartedly. My roleplay characters become parts of myself, my own children who have snarky attitudes, who grow, and develop. I love everyone of them, and when they pass away, I know they will never fully be gone. 

So many feelings.  My characters are my babies and I will always love them, even if they choose to do stupid shit.

this isn’t just for artists. writers feel the same way. i love the characters in each story i write, whether they’re good or evil, because they all have a life. it may be a life that isn’t real, but to me each of them are real. just to me.

((This is my connection with all my ocs, i grew so attached to them that it saddens me that i can do anything with them anymore. I used a bunch of them that were a large family in an rp with a friend of mine, we rp’d with this bunch for close to 2 years and i actually cried when that came to an end. My friend told me she nearly cried to. These ocs were our babies, we spent our days in study hall coming up with them, plotting, rping on pieces of paper passing them back and forth in class ( thank god teaches never caught us because that would be awkward since it was smut alot of the time). We put them through so much drama that whenever they cried or got hurt we did to. I didn’t want them to die so i’ll eventually use them as characters in a future novel series, i will not let my babies be forgotten.))

You are perfect - perfectly human, and as humans, we can also experience depression, anger, anxiety, OCD, and other types of struggles and indescribable pain in our lifetime.  It affects us from literally our heads, (and in some cases), down to our toes!  These states of mind can last a week, a month, or even more than a decade and it has an ability to completely block out any glimpse or source of hope to recover.  There are millions of humans just like us who are fighting the same battles, and are only just now discovering that there’s more of us.  It’s a slow and steady progress, but the more we can express, talk about it and openly share with others, the faster and better we are at making sure that no other human should ever suffer alone again in the future.  You are not your mental illness - and it is important to care for it just as you would with your physical health!  Support from friends and family is great, but there are some things that they cannot provide quite like a professional can, so talk to someone when you can and see what your options are!  Give yourself the permission to love everything that you are and have been this entire time - complete and perfectly human.  Healing starts with you!

Y’ALL 👏                                                                                                                   can you please calm the hell down. is the pairing incestual? is the pairing an abusive relationship? is the pairing pedophilic? if the answers to all three questions is ‘no’ then please stop hating on other people’s ships or harassing them for it. disliking a ship is ok, saying ‘’i don’t like this ship’’ is ok, but when you start attacking people for shipping two characters ( a non-incestual, non-abusive, non-pedophilic pairing ) innocently, please stop. it’s so worthless and you’re just wasting your time. this fandom doesn’t need this. no fandom needs this. both jason and jess have already spoken about this and they’re not okay with this either.

This could be said for any fandom

The more I interact with fandoms, the more I see of this bias hatred that seems to brew within them. Fandoms need to cut it out with this superiority complex they all seem to have. The hatred towards other fandoms, other fandom members, crossovers, etc needs to end.

Your fandom is NO better than any other. It is no worse than any other. The people in it are no better or worse than those in other fandoms.

Your fandom is great. Your fan-made content is great. YOU ARE GREAT.

You are not cancer. You are not autistic (as in the insult, not the actual disorder.). You are not “cringe”. YOU. ARE. WONDERFUL.

Furries, Otaku, Gamers, Undertale fans, FNAF fans, Sonic Fans, Bronies, Pegasisters, etc. All of you are great!

What you make, and do, is wonderful.

Your cosplays, art, fics, muses, sonas, OC, comics, animations, make up, cosplays, etc. It is all wonderful.

Don’t let people who hate on fandoms for no good reason get you down. Don’t feel the trolls. Keep your head held high, and show off your work proudly.

Even those who don’t “make things” contribute to the fandom greatly. Something as simple as a like, note, repost, retweet, comment, and more could make someone’s day. YOU could be the reason someone smiles, and is happy.

Everyone fandom has it’s bad sides. Rabid members. Trolls. Hateful people. Judgmental people. Drama starters. “Creeps”. But, the good people outweigh the bad in my eyes.

Maybe if we all spread love, acceptance, and friendship within out fandoms then the term “fandom” wouldn’t be so hated. Maybe, if we all loved our fellow members, and made our fandoms more welcoming to new members they wouldn’t see us as “Cancer”.

So, the next time you go to call someone “cringe”, go to hate someone’s crossover, go to bash a ship, to make fun of someone, to shame someone’s art…Why don’t you don’t stop to think of something nice to say instead? Leave a like. A heart react. A meaningful comment. Offer assistance. Do a request. Compliment an OC. Read a little of a fic. Give a ship some love. Maybe even make a new friend! Who knows, maybe that person in the other fandom will have more in common with you than you think.

It means a lot to the people in your fandom, and others.
