Q: Hi, so I'm looking at beginning to stretch my ears in about a year when I turn 18, and I was wondering if you think that it would be a better idea to have a local piercer do the up-sizing, or if you think it's okay to do at home myself... and if it is okay to do myself, are there any tips you have to make the process easier?

If a person is patient and listens to their body, they can certainly go about the process on their own. I am a big fan of having your piercer do it for you, if for nothing else it allows you that helpful person to help guide you and remind you when something may be too large, too fast or too soon for your lobes.
