Hey everyone! I am working for MLB Advanced Media right now and I need to get a bunch of responses on this survey. While it is for MLB, the majority of the questions are about social media and different apps, not sports. It’s completely anonymous - no name, e-mail, etc. You can skip any question you don’t want to answer, but the more answers, the better! A big thanks to anyone who takes it.

Adam Lidstrom speaks to media before heading to Wings development camp. x

Adam Lidstrom said there’s no real dirt on his dad, Nicklas. Laughed and admitted ‘perfect human’ is accurate. x

I love this man...

I was thinking, as I often do (don’t judge me), about Evgeni Malkin today, and how you don’t read a lot about the sweeter things he does in the US media. So, I had to share a couple amazing stories.

You may have seen these photos from Summer 2012:

Here’s what you may not know:

When Geno won the World Cup, a child in an orphanage near Moscow contacted him on Twitter. The child asked him to bring the cup to the orphanage, so the children could see it. Geno went. The kids got dressed up and sang him a song they had written for and about him, he played with them, signed endless autographs, talked to them and watched as they showed him their artwork.

(x)

For the past few years, Geno has participated in the charity tournament “From the Heart” when he’s home in Russia. The games are played to raise money for blind children. You’ve probably seen pictures from that tournament:

This is the same tournament where he famously “fought” a seven year-old in 2013:

What you may not have heard:

In the 2011 tournament, Geno stood after the game and signed autographs and took pictures with any child who wanted one:

Then, he noticed there was a blind child waiting to meet him. Malkin took the child’s hand and brought him onto the ice. Malkin knelt to the child’s level, and together, they touched the net, the ice, the puck, while Malkin explained to the child what he was feeling.

(x)(x)

There’s a reason this man is my favorite hockey player, and it is about far more than just his skill on the ice. Many of his fans in the US and Canada don’t get to see this side of him, which is incredibly unfortunate. He is truly a person who is passionate, not only about his work, but about the people who share this world with him.

What the fuck

Okay but imagine a nine year old getting her first period and whipping out one of these? Like her first period being slightly more enjoyable because it has something she likes on it?

Stop thinking about yourself and think about how someone else would feel about something for a second?
