This concrete relief, designed by Jim Meldrum, decorates the lift tower at the southern end of the Wickham Terrace Car Park. The car park is one of several modernist structures in Brisbane designed by architect James Birrell. It was constructed in 1959-60. It was added to the state heritage register in 1995.
