THE FIRST TEN LIES THEY TELL YOU IN HIGH SCHOOL

1. We are here to help you. 2. You will have enough time to get to your class before the bell rings. 3. The dress code will be enforced. 4. No smoking is allowed on school grounds. 5. Our football team will win the championship this year. 6. We expect more of you here. 7. Guidance counselors are always available to listen. 8. Your schedule was created with your needs in mind. 9. Your locker combination is private. 10. These will be the years you look back on fondly.

these all actually are true at my school...

1. They're usually always there. Some teachers have sports to coach, but you can schedule a time...

2. I'm in a small school, but we have five minutes and I usually arrive with three or so minutes to spare if I just go to class.

3. People have been asked to change and if they don't have clothes, they're given spares from the office. (Baggy shirts, etc.)

4. I dunno, I don't see anyone smoke on campus, but idk. I don't hang around those groups.

5. Our football team has won state.

6. I dunno what to say to this one? Haha.

7. You need to turn in a slip to the guidance office, but they can sometimes squeeze you in sooner. They're usually always available here.

8. This is usually so you can pass high school with the correct amount of credits so you can succeed and continue on into college?

9. It's private here?

10. I think I do now that I think about it. Graduating this year, I've had more memories in high school than anything else.

This is just me and my school, though. I'm just adding this comment as a checklist for myself. Sorry. <3
