“During nights with a lot of visible stars in the sky, my father used to tell me how far away those stars are from us. I’ve heard him tell this a hundred times. I found this fascinating, I asked him again and again: ‘tell it once more!’. He would then point out the brightest star in the sky and would say: 'the light from that star isn’t visible to us how it is at this moment, but how it was many years ago. That light has taken all that time to reach your eyeball.’ And then he would consistently explain how fast that light had traveled, to dazzle me. It blew me mind.”

I don’t understand how in movies when there’s some scene about someone sitting on the bus and thinking about life they just have their head rested against the window and it looks so calming and shit like no have you ever put your head against a window while the bus is moving it feels like your cranium is a blender and your brain is becoming a smoothie

New original 3D animated movie: Ducks. The secret life of ducks when humans aren’t looking.

Whenever ducks fly south in the winter, they’re actually flying to a big city of ducks where they talk and have jobs and have traffic lights with pictures of ducks in them and every billboard and storefront is a bird pun.

A generic duck guy is a young adult who feels inadequate because his dad is a big broker in the bread stock exchange.

He accidentally reveals the secret life of ducks to a human child, and now he must take her south with him to duck city. On the way they get into hijinks and find out about a big duck conspiracy or something.

I was thinking at first this was an actual movie

It will be if you just give me 3 years and $150,000,000

How many times would “duck” be confused between the physical action and the animal in question?

12 times for comedic effect. 1 time used ironically in a sad moment in the end of act II. And 1 time in the last act when the protagonist has to say something badass when he defeats the bad guy.

This winter, ditch the binoculars and rediscover bird-watching with the hot new movie…….DUCK!!!!

If this post gets 100,000 notes I’ll start working on the script.

Well then…

Let’s get to work.

Without further ado, and over a year in the making:

“When I was 21 I read “Anna Karenina.” I thought Anna and Vronsky were soul mates. They were deeply in love and therefore had to be together. I found Karenin cruel and oppressive for keeping his wife from her destiny. Levin and Kitty and the peasants bored me. I read those parts quickly. Last year I turned 49, and I read the book again. This time, I loved Levin and Kitty. I loved the fact that after she declined his proposal he waited for a long time to mend his hurt feelings and then asked her again. I loved that she had grown up in the interim and now felt grateful for a second chance. Anna and Vronsky bored me. I thought Anna was selfish and shrill. My heart went out to poor Karenin, who tried to be decent. What has literature taught me about love? Literature (along with experience) has taught me that love means different things at different points in our lives, and that often as we get older we gravitate toward the quieter, kinder plotlines, and find them to be richer than we had originally understood them to be.”
