I saw someone reblog this dismissing it as AI despite the fact they're 1 click away from a search engine. "Rosetta Nebula" is all you'd have to type. Perhaps the biggest travesty with ai images is going to be robbing people of their wonder for what's actually possible in the universe and continuing to shrink their bubble of understanding based on whether they believe it at a glance.

The image has been colorized differently above but the Rosetta Nebula is real and actually looks like that.

whenever someone calls USAmerican English the 'movie accent' I remember how somewhere last year I was on a train when suddenly the silence was broken by an american voice behind me somewhere and I immediately thought "Oh no, someones playing their tiktoks out loud again" and automatically turned around to put a face to my annoyance like you do when someones driving bad, and turns out a few rows down were just some actual in the flesh USAmericans having a nice conversation amongst themselves. something something taigen’s background being full of trees and blue sky and untouched village while akemi’s is on fire, a palace on fire, and while it could be considered foreshadowing or in direct relation to the dialogue, it could also be a depiction of their resolution to the trauma they have endured. akemi wants to show force and power, to be great, because she has watched powerful men destroy her happiness multiple times and she believes to cause change, she needs to be great. taigen wants peace because he has endured violence and has reached the point of realization that it’s not fun, not even if you’re the best (mizu) and not even if you survive, because violence is violence no matter who is “winning” and maybe there’s something to do with the fact that fire is a sign of destruction and trees are a literal sign of growth and maybe it’s foreshadowing that akemi is going to go down a dark or destructive path or Maybe. maybe it’s meant to express that they have changed into two totally different people on different sides of a bridge and the relationship they had can never be salvaged the way that it is now

There’s a tornado warning out (two, technically), so of course I went for a walk outside to see if I could spot it.  Never have I seen so many of my neighbors at one time, when there wasn’t a firework show or a picnic.

There was a tornado warning and a bunch of people gathered outside to set off fireworks. I wish I was kidding.

How cool would it be to shoot fireworks into a tornado?
