I’m sorry but people need to know about this

I remember watching a documentary about this with my parents when I was a little girl (maybe 15 years ago), I remember that was the first time I really understood what cruelty was. These are women, these are people with awakened minds and souls who have been robbed of a normal life because the patriarchy in their culture is so wrought with violence. They are often raped along with being burned, all of this is often done to mar the woman so they are undesirable to future suitors. This isn’t new, this is decades (if not more in the making) and hopefully with the awareness brought about by the Internet helps bring it to a halt.
