My Problem ; sassydrunkcana

“It’s my problem, yeah, but I’d have to be an idiot to ignore how you suffer for it.”
If not for his weakness on one particular night, these struggles never would have occurred. That was the assumed knowledge that carried both their opinions. Laxus, however, started to find himself unconvinced by this. Minerva or no Minerva, they never had thought to talk to one another. Laxus was too brusque, Cana too teasing, and while it amounted to great sex, it didn’t lead to a soul-binding relationship. So long as their problems persisted, it could’ve been any woman, not just Minerva, that broke the camel’s back.
“I’ve grown tired of beating the shit out of myself for my mistakes,” he admitted, his gaze hardening at the sight of what he saw as Cana’s despondent attitude. “And I’m tired of watching you trying to stab me in the face whenever you like. We’re both grown-ass adults, and believe me, I’m more surprised by that than you could ever be.
I’m done fighting you. Are you done fighting with me?”
This was the question that would define the future of this interaction. If Cana wanted to fight, then he would ready his weary bones for yet more quarrels. If she thought otherwise…than something could change. Even if it meant putting an end to this forever, he ached for a change.
Sick as though he was with his own suffering, the only thing that harmed him more was hers. He was soft in that sense, and while he abhorred weakness, this was the exception. Cana would always be the exception to him. As such, in only made sense for him to grow up, and act like a man worth even half his salt.

She had forced herself to remain strong for so long, a force to be reckoned with in order to stand against the strength she couldn't deny he possessed.  He had hurt her, yes, but there was no way that she could let him see the extent.  Not when he spoke so often of valuing power over all else.  It would've been akin to spitting in his face.

Which, admittingly, was tempting.

But he had to call her out on her pain.  He had to see through her, in that way that absolutely infuriated the card mage.  This was a huge part of why she had to hurt him, she had to push him away.  No one had really seen past the independent woman to the little girl inside for years, and it scared her so much more than she wanted to admit.  He had found the way to hurt her, when she had never let anyone in that close.  Not even her crush on Macao had compared, since that had never gone anywhere near where this relationship had gone before it had imploded.

But that was part of the problem, wasn't it?  Cana had been so used to seeing men flirt around, men that were supposedly in committed relationships (here's to you Wakaba) hitting on girls younger than them.  It was too easy to imagine Laxus doing the same thing.

"I haven't forgotten yet.  Simple words, but so much meaning.  She hadn't forgotten that, of all the women he could've slept with, it had to be someone Cana HATED.  Someone who had hurt people she cared about.  She couldn't forget that easily.  "If you had wanted to sleep with someone else... Mira, or Lucy...  I would’ve been okay.  Probably asked to join in, because come on, those two are hot and I’d totally fuck them."  Maybe not fuck, Lucy deserved to be treated well.

"But you cheated on me with that Saber bitch.  The one who hurt Lucy.  My friend.  The one who nearly killed Erza.  I need more time to get over that Sparky.  I...  I..."

She didn’t want to fight him.

But she wasn’t ready to forgive.

"I can’t forget it, and it fucking hurts."

"Long overdue, but not once forgotten. You and I, /boy/, are going to have words." How he managed a single sentence without striking was a wonder to him, not that his control was so grand that it couldn't shatter the second the other man utters a single word. Gildarts, against the rise of fury, needed to hear the /reasoning/, the /excuse/. He /needed/ to see if the brat /dare/ reason with him.

Shit.

Fucking shit.

A shitocalypse of shit, shitting upon him from a mountain encrusted with shit, presided over by the god-king of all shittery.

These were but a small fraction of the thoughts that was currently running through Laxus’ mind. What prevented him from vacating the premises was the knowledge that if he did, Gildarts would hunt him to the ends of Earthland. So, there he stood, waiting to take a punch that would have him eating through a straw for months on end. For all of his waiting, for all of the rage he felt coming off of Gildarts, the punch never came.

For all of that talk about…well, talking, Gildarts seemed to be as good as his word. One would think that Laxus would, then, be a lot smarter about what he chose to say. Laxus, for all his intellect, did not prove to be ‘that smart’. Reaching for a chair behind him, upon the guild’s second floor, he sat down, haughtily gesturing to a seat opposite his own.

“You want to talk, old man? That’s fine, pull up a chair, and we’ll have a nice /talk/”

CANA’s wonderful Wednesdays!

Okay so on to cana!

1.       Cana’s Zebra sweater

4.       Cana’s Cat sweatr

So it was another tough one! Cana’s pretty much one of the somehow recurring characters in FT! she’s been there a lot and she even had her own story unfold. I’ve come to know Cana as a very Random and droopy kind of character so I figured.. her weekends are mostly hanging out at home, chilling with friends and probably going on blind dates. Thus the sweaters and the very random cat dress! I see Cana as someone with very random yet elegant flare! – and also I feel like someties gildarts would bring her back very random jackets—like that cat sweater!

So guys– who should I work on next? (doesn’t have to be from the fairy tail series)
