Drabble Meme: Leave a “Join Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a drabble about one character giving another character an offer.

珊瑚

Eyes wide, filled with emotion dismay, fear, deep anguish.

Body wounded, covered with injuries bruises, lacerations, old scars.

Sango was on her knees. She was a figure taking the appearance of a motionless heap. Her gaze fell to her hands, her fingertips that were digging into the dark soil beneath her. The feeling of dirt caking under her nails was numb. Everything was numb. Every shallow breathe hitched in her throat. Those hands of hers. They were unable to stop him. They were incapable of ceasing the mindless slaughter committed by him.

  Inuyasha.

He was the one who killed them. Miroku, Shippou… Kirara. Sango’s companions. All of which were scattered about like torn pieces of paper. Their former hanyou friend had turned full-blood and, in a voracious frenzy, murdered the only family Sango had left. It was all so sudden, but not entirely unexpected. Inuyasha was, after all, in a great depression after the untimely departure of Kagome. He lost himself after the reincarnated priestess was forcibly sent back to her own time. The Bone-Eater’s well no longer working as a path between eras. None of that seemed to matter now. In fact, nothing felt of importance to Sango right now. Not even her own

  ”Join me.”

The woman was startled out of her thoughts. She had forgotten that Kouga was standing next to her. The wolf leader had arrived as Kirara was bleeding out. The beloved feline was already unconscious in that moment, from the pain and lack of blood. Inuyasha wasn’t around at that point in time. He left for a reason unknown to Sango. Kouga didn’t get to see how Shippou was “easy enough.” He wasn’t witness to Miroku’s cries of pain or the contorted visage of his face as the life in him slipped away. Sango was helpless as the monk she cared for was treated with brutality. She was worthless.

”You can’t possibly see anything in that rabid dog anymore.” Kouga looked down at her. She was covered in filth. Her back was hunched over; he couldn’t see her face. “You have nowhere to go now, right? Join me.”

The wolf’s harsh words should have stung, but they didn’t. Sango was far too dazed. Images of the morbid event kept circling in her mind. Kouga had a point, however. There was no longer a place for her to call home. Not a single place for her to run to. Twice now, her reality had been torn from under her feet. The unfolding of it all was oddly ironic.

”C’mon,” he held out his hand. A gesture so unlike him. “Let’s go.”

The slayer didn’t move; didn’t make a sound.

  ”I said, let’s go!”

A tremble ran through Sango’s being. She closed her eyes. Could she join Kouga? Would it really be okay? She hardly knew him, and he her. Something someone, was desperately needed by her, though. If she didn’t have anyone to lean on she would surely break. She was weak and it sickened her how low she had descended.

Eyes still shut, she loosened the fistfuls of dirt in her palms. Slowly, she raised an arm in the direction his voice had come from. She was blindly reaching out; limply searching for hope.

Without a word, Kouga impatiently closed the distance by firmly grasping her hand.

It was callused, yet warm to Sango. This man, he was no stranger to loss. He knew the pain of fallen comrades. Maybe he could help her. Any consoling from Kouga would be awkward, surely. But the slayer had to have support in order to go on living. Sango squeezed his fingers with her own.

Perhaps it would be alright this way.

Plot # 53: The Fear of Falling Apart (inspired by Panic! at the Disco’s This is Gospel, suggested by sexylittlequeen

Muse A has become addicted to prescription painkillers, but is very secretive about their addiction. They refuse to let their friends and family be aware of it, never using in front of them or talking about it, and maintaining a hardened philosophy that if they don’t admit it out loud, there is no problem. At first the silence succeeds. The people around Muse A don’t suspect anything except the occasional uncharacteristic irritability. As time goes on, Muse A’s addiction to opiates becomes more and more evident to those who are close to them, especially Muse B (friend, sibling or significant other), who begins to suspect Muse A is using drugs. Although Muse A still attempts to keep their addiction under wraps, the facade begins to falter as they become more and more dependent. Muse B is torn on whether to address their suspicions and confront Muse A, at the risk of having a falling out; however if they stand back idly and don’t take action, they risk losing them entirely. In the end Muse B decides to intervene, offering their assistance and support if Muse A will choose to admit they have a substance abuse problem and seek professional help.

Option A: Muse A admits they have a drug problem, but refuses professional help, instead asking Muse B to help them privately.

Option B: Muse A refuses to admit they are addicted and continue to abuse painkillers, eventually resulting in an overdose. Muse B discovers them unconscious and calls emergency services, saving Muse A’s life.

Mundanely Important

[Mm'kay... I can't express my love for Sango, and Inuyasha as a whole, nearly enough. Being able to make a blog basically dedicated to my favorite character of the series has been a delight. However, personal matters have interfered with my time and ability to express my muse. Recently I've revisted this blog in hopes of breathing life into my Sango once again. This might not be the case, though. As I've come to realize... Many others have seemingly left in my abscence. Not to mention I'm still all twisted up with, ugh, life. Yet, abandoning Sango is not something I'm willing to do. She is my first muse, after all. So, instead of admitting defeat, I intend to reread and rewatch the series. Then make those preciously damned icons and roleplay as our well-known demon slayer once more. Perferably sooner than later.]

3: How important are aesthetics to you? Do you do anything in particular because it looks better? 8: Name something or someone who influences your writing, art or characterization? 9: What’ll make you unfollow a blog? 13: Does great fanon trump canon? 16: What kinds of threads do you like the best? (Sorry might have gone overboard here.)

  • Out of character asks for Munday.

[I am a very detail oriented individual. So I have a high appreciation for such things, naturally.]

[Earthly things influence me greatly. Sounds cheesy, but I love nature. As for roleplay, the people I follow tend to help me out with my own writing.]

[Excessively rude behavior or too many out of character posts.]

[Not necessecarily. While I enjoy analysis by fans, I keep canon in mind.]

[Ahh, I'm not sure. I do tend to lean towards darker themes though.]

Do you have any unique stories of your demon slaying adventures? What yokai scared you the most? Did anything embarasing happen on one of your missions? :3

  "Unique? I don't believe so...

"I don't recall ever being real scared of a particular youkai. And as for embarrassing experiences... let's not talk about that."
