the next time you enjoy a meal in your home, eat it viscerally and animalistically. this need not obligate eating it "viciously" or "violently", though the interpretation is left up to the agent.
if it's a sandwich, let it fall apart. if it's not a finger food, make it one. rip it apart. food sustains us. the matter you ingest becomes you, the process need not be beautiful. embrace this extant part of the universe into yourself in the way that feels most natural to you. approach the meal like you've never seen what humans eat and you werent instructed on what to do with it.
this action is worth 10 points.
over 10 years ago, i was part of a community forum filled with hundreds of tasks like this.
i didnt realize it until recent years, but it was actually extremely leftist and anarchist in its construction. it was all about exploring urban environments in novel and interesting way, having tasks falling into themes like time travel, movement, environmentalism, nihilistic and artistic expression, and a bunch of other stuff. When you submit your completed task it's literally called "submitting your praxis".
Here's a diagram used to illustrate the many groups and their relationships to one another.
And all of the writing was just a flowery and eloquent as this post.
As example, here's official descriptions of each group:
And the amazing part was that it was all community sustained and created. The leaders were community elected "senators", who acted independently from the admins. No ads or anything, and it was all very basic HTML.
Here are some examples of tasks as well (all community-created, though only made active after approval from the senate).
This website and game was really something special. It also explains why I am the way that I am. And ESPECIALLY why I talk the way I talk.
(note: all pictures here are taken from a web archive snapshot from around 2013. the website has been rotting since around 2015. you cannot make an account or submit praxis any longer.)
I cannot stress this enough: this website probably pushed me into being an illegalist and adopting a lot of anarchist beliefs.
Here's one of my favorites tasks.
Find roof access. Where? Find it.
This post has become long and unwieldy as it stands, but for those interested here's a web archive with most of the website intact:
(also, wanted to say, i was at one time the second highest scoring player on the site.)

Let it be known that Iβve watched Pacific Rim again.
I mean, I missed most of it in a haze of nostalgia and recognising a pair of shoes, but an effort was made.

The Eurovision song contest is facing intense scrunity and accusations of discrimination after it rebuked Swedish-Palestinian pop star Eric Saade for wearing a Palestinian scarf in the opening act of the semi-finals. Saade, whose father is of Palestinian origin, kicked off the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden on Tuesday evening with a keffiyeh, a traditional Palestinian and Arab male headdress, wrapped around his wrist. [...] In response, the organisers of the contest, European Broadcasting Union (EBU) released a statement saying it "regretted" that Saade wore the scarf. "The Eurovision Song Contest is a live TV show. All performers are made aware of the rules of the contest, and we regret that Eric Saade chose to compromise the non-political nature of the event," it said. [...] Eurovision later posted clips of the performances of the other two opening acts on its social media pages, but did not share Saadeβs, prompting social media users to share the performance on their personal pages to show support for the artist.
Waving Palestinian flags, wearing traditional Palestinian garments, or if we're being honest, just being Palestinian, is now officially "too political" for Eurovision.
Literally, all Saade did was wear a keffiyeh around his wristβwhile being Palestinianβand that was enough to get a statement from the EBU, and have his opening performance scrubbed from Youtube.
If you're not already boycotting Eurovision this year, then what the fuck is wrong with you?
Below are two statements from Saade. The first one, giving his reason for participating, was posted a few days ago, and the other was in response to the EBU accusing him of 'compromising the non-political nature' of the Genocide Song Contest:
remember when you used to be able to play snake with theβ¦ hold on whatβs it called
hmm. donβt think iβll be calling it that. anyways i was gonna say remember when you could play snake with the buffering circle on youtube but. now i have other concerns
YOU ARE SO SMALL!!
i thought i was ready when i turned the sound on. i was not. he is indeed.Β

turns sound on
the sound:
hey reminder to continue boycotting eurovision and instead turn your eyes on gaza where the last media outlet al jazeera has just been shut down so that Israel can launch its attack on the most densely populated area in the world without scrutiny. Dont stop talking about Palestine
(dont put this guy on blast, i cropped URL out on purpose)
lets use this as an opportunity for learning and growth guys. By platforming Israel, Eurovision legitimizes and enables their genocide. In the same way that Russia has been banned from participating from the Olympics in an act of solidarity with Ukraine, Eurovision had the opportunity to stand in solidarity with Palestine. Instead, they have chosen to associate themselves with Israel, a violent colonial state, uplifting them to an international stage to do pr for themselves.
In the same way, all contestants in Eurovision had the opportunity to condemn Israel or call for their removal from the competition. I'm sorry because I know people get a lot of joy from the music but in a situation as dire as Palestine neutrality is functionally the same as complacency.
I ask you to boycott Eurovision in solidarity with the 34,535 Palestinians who have lost their lives in the last few months. The 77,704 who have been wounded. The 1.5 million survivors, most of them displaced and mourning, who are packed into Gaza right now. Have the empathy and willpower to be serious for like 10 seconds and recognize that you can find entertainment elsewhere.
hey did you know??? that if you stop stretching and maintaining mobility in your body then it goes away?? things get tight and you can't move the way that you used to??? and when you decide to try getting a stretch routine going that the first week fucking sucks because you keep going 'damn i used to be able to do this no problem' and then you have to switch gears and be kind to yourself and just focus on getting better from here instead of berating yourself for dropping the good habits in the first place??? and your body never stops aging so you gotta keep taking care of it and sometimes you gotta take care of it extra in certain areas because of things that happened when you were younger and it's boring and sometimes hurts but it's so necessary???
i am yelling this at myself right now i am going through An Experience (trying to get into a routine of body maintenance again for my physical and mental health)
oh, Sisyphus! i got you
This showed up on my feed like 6 times in a row. Ok, I get it, I'll do my stupid stretches. π
