yall know valkyries flashback scene in ragnarok? back in 2014 the ragnarok director was actually featured in this short reel testing out the lighting system used to shoot that sequence when it wasnt even patented yet like who knew if this technology was gonna be vital to the creation of whats basically one of the most visually breathtaking scenes in the entire mcu back then

btw this lighting rig was invented by stu from what we do in the shadows http://www.syfy.com/syfywire/thor-ragnarok-used-amazing-new-tech-to-show-off-valkyries-battles

“when it wasnt even patented yet” People can patent ways of making art? And no one bats an eye?

dynamiclight aka said lighting rig system they made is a tech so yeah it can be patented lol

You can patent dna and living creatures. You patent most things. Its an arbitrary way of making and controlling money. If more people could use this and other artistic tech we could get more creative movies.

yea too bad thats how the programmers make money it just be like that sometimes
