when i commissioned this piece as a present for Will I wasn't aware of its slight prophetic properties; after having to reschedule our wedding ~twice~, we've felt a little tired and tattered. but we have a new date and, most importantly, each other. it's all an adventure, and it's going to make a good story in a few years 💍 https://www.instagram.com/p/CBZ4GayDDih/?igshid=fy83g0ig1c4n

I’m gonna tell ya’ll my most base truth. I would happily watch and enjoy a faithful screen adaptation of pjo. I would not watch a faithful adaptation of hoo even if my life depended on it and that’s that on that.

HOO is possibly one of the only book series where fans would be happy with changes made when it’s put on screen

ok but even if they can’t do hoo after or any other series in the universe, they could still put in little details. like a tv on in the background in the diner scene with ares in tlt, and it’s playing a trailer for a movie starring tristan mclean. nico & bianca in the background in the lotus hotel. reyna, whose name we only know because we KNOW and because it’s in the credits, combing annabeth’s hair on circe’s island in sea of monsters. thalia getting a flashback of baby jason during titans curse when percy asks about her mom. annabeth maybe casually mentioning a cousin in boston. percy flying blackjack over brooklyn and you see the place where the kanes live. just. please. all of it.

the unbridled euphoria of getting new content, new fans, and seeing a faithful pjo adaptation vs the mounting horror of being subjected to years old discourse and seeing richard be called “uncle rick” on this site again

That PJO adaptation better be narrated with a voice off.

That’s the best way to do it, you can’t change my mind.

Just imagine: Percy saying “Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood” or just him explaining little things like he did in the book.

Like I mean, the book is written in first person, take fucking advantage of it.

in 2020 we’re going to stop being ashamed of our interests/hyperfixations and be passionate about the things that make us happy without cloaking it in sixteen layers of irony. cringe culture died so that we could all thrive. no exceptions 🌸
