SO. MUCH. HAS. HAPPENED. since I last blogged. I'm currently getting ready to go on the road with John Mayer, rehearsing band members, working on finishing a record, and loving the hell outta my little 3-legged dog, Pearl. I'm having the absolute time of my life. SO thankful I get to CREATE for a living. Can't wait to share more of what's going on with everyone. Just put the finishing touches on the WHITE 2 song, vinyl I'll be hawking at the shows. It's gonna be so cool! "Dandelion" will be one of the songs on it and I can't wait for you to hear! Sounds like it popped out of some kind of music box. A Glen Campbell kinda music box?

More Than I Could Ask For

August has been a month I will NEVER forget. It started with me traveling the country side of Italy, playing music and having the time of my life. Upon returning I had the privilege of singing with Martina McBride, I saw a ton of amazing shows (Katy Perry!), I finally put the finishing touches on a project I've been in the studio working on, I signed my first record deal with Lost Highway Records, AND I turned 23. The planets must be in line or something. Whatever the case I am MORE than grateful. Thanks for sharing my journey with me. KM

Shame On Me..

I'm completely terrible at updating anything I've said I would. So much happens and then I sleep and then I forget. Hopefully understandably so. The past few weeks have been kinda a whirlwind. My trip to France & Italy with the Josh Abbott Band was absolutely AMAZING. I had the best time and saw so much my little brain could hardly stand it. I've never eaten and laughed as much as I did those past two weeks. I've been slightly depressed since. Go to www.KellyChristinePhoto.com for a peek into the trip. She took some great photos!

Good thing I've caught up on sleep...a lot of cool things are heading my way this week. Will share if my liver makes it to Sunday. (My 23rd birthday). Let the celebrating commence! More updates to come!

My sister and I set off on a photo shoot/exploration adventure and stumbled across a quiet, beautiful park. It had peacocks and little deer & fountains. So so gorgeous. And so clean! Everything is so clean here it’s amazing. Were in a 2,000 year old south-central town called Le Puy en Velay, in a little hole in the wall (but nice) hotel - Le Bilboquet. Its so perfectly French! We snapped some pics in some colorful back alleys, did some shopping, got made fun of..again, then enjoyed some crepes. For now..nap time. Then I gotta start getting ready for soundcheck and the show with the Josh Abbott Band tonight at the Country Rendezvous Fest! So excited! Expecting 30,000 people. It should be a trip. All for now..Au revoir! KM

How did I fit through this? And where did this mysterious Parisian door lead to? Secret passageway to Versailles? Orrr the gravel-top roof of the hotel still older than America? Either way it’s COOL.

You gain one you lose another..

My voice! It’s gone! I sound like a squeaky toy when I talk. But good news is I have clean undies and all my belongings. Air France finally delivered my luggage. Ive spent 2 days in Paris. Tomorrow we are heading south to Lyon and Le Puy en Velay - a 2000 year old town built on a volvanic mountain that’s absolutely beautiful!! Today we spent the day shopping and eating falafel and getting made fun of in the Marias district. Then went to Mono Prix for wine and cheese. Now me & the Josh Abbott crew are all pretty much wasted in the lobby of our hotel. Loving every second here in Europe. Mostly. I did get kissed by a bum in the subway today. That was a highlight. 5 hour train ride in the morning. Annnnd voice rest. Must be prepared for show on Friday. Cannot disappoint France! KM
