i thought we were done with this meme that acts like gay identities esp lesbianism is accepted and/or oppressive and/or pretends that our hypervisibility isnt harmful to us

i don’t think this meme is trying to say that at all, of course gays and especially lesbians aren’t 100% accepted but they’re the only two things that cishets care about when it comes to “gay rights” to the point where they erase everyone else in the community

speaking from a person who’s mom who brags about being an ally but only talks about cis gay men and has ignored me being trans and pan and just brushes me off as a lesbian

so yeah

you say “gays” and “homos” so forgive me if i dont think youre the best to listen to on what is and isnt homophobic

I’ve experienced being erased all my life as a person who is within the community, by both cis gay men, lesbians, and heterosexual people. I’ve been lashed out for liking girls before discovering myself being nonbinary, it hurts on both ends.

I do understand what homophobia is like, but I also especially feel transphobia and biphobia more… this is what I’ve been trying to say.

ive experienced shit too including from bi people. neither of these experiences are factoring in to the fact that you are not gay, yet you call us “gays” and use the word “homos”

mmm you do have a point... i'm really sorry for using those terms but thank you for pointing it out to me ill try and remove those words from my vocabulary

honestly im really glad that we have so many better popular iz artists in the fandom now , at least on tumblr

referring to both their art skills and to them just being generally better people than the old popular artists were
