Y'all mind if I talk about Present Mic's quirk for a second? Great.

So, my partner and I have been having Erasermic brainrot lately, and while we were binging content with them, I became interested in Hizashi's voice quirk. I began searching stuff about how sound/volume works, and linking it to his canon stuff.

I'll just say, the info I found makes him a pretty scary guy. It's a shame he's so underused in both canon and fanon.

So... It's been awhile. I took some time off art to try and get into a better headspace (ha!), and in the meantime, My Hero took quite an intense turn. Aizawa has lost a limb and eyeball, Mic has gone feral and buffed up, Oboru was revealed and Shigaraki has literally mutated into a million fuckhands McGee. So I decided to wait till things settled a little bit- and they (sort of) have... but my computer died a very very dramatic death, taking absolutely ALL of my art with it So. In light of the changes and complete irreversible loss of my entire body of work I'm going to do something a little insane... I'm going to redraw everything.

Absolutely everything.

Wish me luck...

We kept getting recommended Hunter X Hunter, so we finally got around to seeing what the hype was about.

Honestly, we were pretty disappointed. It felt like what happens when Dragonball Z and Yu-Gi-Oh do the Fusion dance wrong. The only reason we managed to battle through was this Murder Clown. We love him so much we even managed to grind through the Cell Saga- ahem- The Chimera Ant arc in hopes he'd pop up again.

Though clearly not a fan of the series, I'll definitely draw more of Hisoka

I wasn't happy with my original run of button badge designs, so doing another run, but there are so many fun designs for each of the kids, I'll give each of them several and make them available in packs!

Starting with Deku! giving him a Unform, Hero, Fantasy and Disguise option!

Entrapta was an absolute delight of a character, and really helped notch She Ra up in my books. I thought I would hate her- I thought she was going to be the crazy character that was gratingly wacky the whole time, but they really made her endearing From a social perspective, portraying an autistic character without making a big deal about it, without tokenising her, without having every second they're on screen an important teaching moment where others have to accept how different we can all be was so damned refreshing. From an animation perspective I was incredibly impressed with how they used her prehensile hair. A lot of times when characters have things like this the writers, stroyboardists and animators tend to forget to use extra limbs, tails or hair in this case unless it's convenient. Entrapta was constantly moving about and using her hair with the kind of casual non thinking movements one WOULD use prehensile hair. And in relation to the original? They took a really bland character who's existence was ONLY so she could be a marketable doll with long hair little girls could brush and plait and turned her into a fully fleshed out, non neurotypical, extremely fun character.

I have a love of drawing flowers and using the language of flowers in my work when I can. Bulma is holding an Amaryllis, signifying Pride, and she’s put Narcissus for Egotism, Magnolia for Royalty and Nasturtium for Battle Victory in his hair, while the flowers on the banner are Tigerlily to indicate their combination of wealth and Pride, and red Camellia for a firey relationship.  This work has been sitting in my unfinished pile for YEARS after coming up with the idea for it years before. I’m sorry it took me so long, my only canon OTP!

It’s taken, like, about a year, but finally getting around to colouring the EraserMic Week art. Day One was Memories. Aizawa COULD warn Shinso he will not win this battle of wills, but some things are better learnt with experience...
