I’ll reblog this every time I see it, because there’s something about burly beardy bikers giving help and companionship to a small hurt kitten that makes the world a little bit better.

Off-Topic : Pharah’s Father

First off, just to clear the air from my previous posts about our favorite Justice Rocket Babe, Blizzard officially said Pharah has no prosthetic limbs, so that old theory was put to rest.  Glad for it, since I like her with all her limbs, looks like they were just cutting corners with her base model.

Sadly it seems I can’t get over Pharah’s various mysteries, because another one hooked me, and I think I got some pretty good evidence that this one is true.

Pharah’s father is Reinhardt.

Why do I say this? Well, for one, they both have a penchant for metal battle suits, and both have a really inflated sense of Justice.  We all know that, but that’s not really compelling evidence.  We have to go deeper for that.

This is the spray that got me thinking about this.  This is such a hockey “father and daughter” experience it felt like being punched in the face, but still not the greatest of evidence.  We have to go deeper, we have to see if Blizzard left a subtle hint about this, and guess what? They sure did.

If you look at all the skins in the game, the basic skins usually share a theme.  Tracer is bright colors, Mei is various flowers, DVA is fruits, etc…  None of them share a name, other then two…

Reinhardt and Pharah both have a “Copper” skin.

Not seeing why that is a big deal? Well let’s go look at the rest of the of Reinhardt, Pharah, and Ana skins, shall we?

Ana has base skins named after precious stones, like Peridot, Turquoise, Citrine, and Garnet. Reinhardt has base skins named after various metals, like Cobalt, Brass, Copper, and Viridian.

Pharah’s base skins are Copper, Titanium, Emerald, and Amethyst.

Notice anything here? Pharah’s skin names are split evenly among metals (Copper, Titanium) and precious stones (Amethyst, Emerald).  She is the only one that not only shares a very noticeable theme with two other heroes, but the names are split between those heroes evenly.

Not convinced yet? Well let us focus back on that one skin they share, Copper.

For those that know history, the development of metallurgy existed long ago with metals like gold, but due to it’s soft form and scarcity, it was never used in the creation of tools, weapons, and armors.

That is when Copper was discovered to be malleable when heated, yet harder when cooled, it was then mixed with other materials to make Bronze, which was what first thrust us into what is known as the Bronze Age.

(Now you know why Copper is the first metal you farm up in WoW.)

Since it was the first to really be discovered for this purpose, it means Copper is “the father component of advanced metallurgy”

Even after all that, think of the one trait about Reinhardt you can remember over all others. His friendly disposition, his boastful laugh, his revelry and joy he feels while in combat, make him stand out.  Pharah on the other hand is dedicated, serious, a true professional that rarely smiles…

Which makes it all the more interesting that her name, Fareeha, means happiness, laughter, and joy.

Good night everyone.

Help me out a bit:

So! What do you like about yourself? I think it’s important to realize that there’s positive things about all of us!

The point is:

There’s so much negativity going around, at least when I think about myself. I dunno if you can relate to that?

Anyways! Let me start this one:

I actually quite like my ability to get up, no matter how many times life throws me over.

I like that I have a good relationship with my momma, even though she’s been very sick most of my life.

I love the fact that I’m a very positive and optimistic person on my good days.

So!

How about you?

I am sooooo thankful for my undying optimism. Even when shit really hits the fan or life has me down in the gutter I still see the bright side and hold onto it. Though sometimes it takes me a bit of time to remember to actually search for something to be happy about, I tend to always find it no matter what.
