Was this even possible? The elder Ja’far looked at his younger erm, female self with confusion.

“Ja’far is my name as well.” This just had to be a dream or something. There was no way this was a reality.

Tilting her head, Ja’far gave the man a suspicious look. Hat-man looked like he’d seen a ghost for some reason, and sure, sharing a name was weird, but it wasn’t that weird.

“Yeesh, what’s up with you?” She eventually asked. “I got stuff to do, so I can’t stick around all day. And I know that it’s rude to stare too.” That was another thing Rurumu had told her.

“Rurumu?” He repeated the name. He hadn’t heard her name is so long.. And what did she mean by ‘Rurumu taught me that.’? Was this…?

“What’s your name?” He suddenly questioned, kneeling down on one knee to be at her level. There was a small pause before he asked another question. “Please?”

It was a bit surprising when hat-man suddenly knelt down to her level, and Ja’‘far blinked slowly, confused by the urgency in his eyes.

She didn’t really like the idea of telling someone her name, because who knew what damage a stranger could do with it... and yet those eyes seemed familiar...

“My name is Ja’far.” She eventually said, slowly. “But why do you care, hat-man?”

Unfathomable little brat! No, keep your cool.

“Why would I tell you?” How did she know of such things? “Just who are you?”

“Well....” Okay, so she probably wouldn’t tell someone if she had concealed weapons either. Fair point, weird-hat-man. Still...

“I don’t have to answer your question ‘cause you didn’t say ‘please.’” She crossed her arms. “Rurumu taught me that.” In fact, Rurumu wasn’t around, so she could stick out her tongue at this loser too. Ha!

Ja’far let out a bit of a sigh to the child, unsure of her presence. “It’s apart of my outfit.” He could of chuckled a bit if he heard why she thought that. 

“Do you keep knives in it? Or poison?” Ja’far tilted her head. “If I had to wear an ugly blanket on my head, that’s what I’d do.” Then she’d be able to protect Sin better.

“Don’t knock it till you try it!” Sinbad gave a hearty laugh.

“Haven’t you been ice skating before?”

“Why would I?      You’re only moving around on ice with fancy equipment. I don’t see the point.”

“Well, most fun things don’t have a point besides being fun, right?”

“Don’t tell me you’re scaaared.”

“Well… Titus is a grownup and he pets the kitties and feeds them and stuff. Do you like kitties?”

“Yeah! I like kitties. They’re soft, and quieter than Sinbad.“ If that was part of being a grown-up, she had it down pat. “I know an alley that they like to stay in!”

“Oh… well… what do you wanna do then?” 

“Uhh.... um.... W-well.”

“...What sorta things do grown-ups do?”

“….And how d’you do that, Mister?”

“….Do I gotta get a weird ass hat like you?”

     ❝Ah, no, I would simply say be kind… and I wouldn’t say it’s that strange. I know many who wear them just the same.❞

“Well I sure don’t. And I bet that giant feather would get in the way of work!”

“I know how to be nice though. Rurumu taught me how to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’, and not to bite people who piss me off.”
