You smooth down the packing tape on the last box. You’re really moving from Tulsa all the way to some small town in Florida. Of course you would miss your friends, and the few family members that you had here, but most of all you would miss Ponyboy. The two of you had been dating since the 8th grade, and now you’re graduating and still together. His sensitivity, his love for the little things, you knew he was the one. Sadly, your mom got a job in Florida so your whole family had to relocate. You stack the boxes filled with your belongings in your empty room. The moving trucks are supposed to come in 15 minutes, and then you will make the drive to the airport with your parents and brother. Pony said he would stop by to wish you goodbye, but it was too painful for you to think about. The thought of you two breaking up a perfectly good relationship after so many years broke your heart.
