Davy Jones is honestly one of my favourite movie villains because he’s so Extra. He introduces himself by saying ‘Do you fear death?’ and he plays the spooky pipe organ with his tentacle beard while pining over lost love. He knows his aesthetic and he owns it.

Forgot about pirates of the Caribbean and spent a solid minute tryna figure out when the ghost man asked spongebob if he fears death

Silver mountain couple ring for men and women

I wish someone could take the words out of my mouth. I know why I love this but I just want to hear someone else say it

They’re whole on their own and they’re beautiful and at the same time they fit together, just right, into something that’s just different and perfect at the same time.

If it fits they stick

you’ve heard of: getting emotionally attached to your roomba

now get ready for: genuinely mourning the mars rover like a deceased loved one

SHE SERVED MANKIND FOR SO MANY YEARS AND NOW SHE’S JUST LAYING UP THERE COLD AND ALONE UNDER A COVER OF DUST TAKEN FROM US BY A SPACE STORM AND SHE WILL NOT BE GIVEN A PROPER RESTING PLACE UNTIL HUMANS REACH MARS AND RETRIEVE HER

i was in a thrift shop the other day and they were playing the most unsettling variations of normal christmas music, culminating in this rendition of the 12 days of christmas except it was like 12 guys all singing over each other and going “no!” and interrupting the lyrics with random other phrases until they deadass just started singing 5 golden rings to toto’s africa. can anyone confirm that this is a real song and not that i stroked so hard i astral projected into a universe where everything is somehow worse than it is here

I remember listening to this in grade school. I am going to go get some Chinese food.

One of my favorite things to see is random people trying to interact with unfamiliar outdoor cats. Just standing there with a hand out, making kissy noises, maybe meowing at the cat while it ignores them. Mankind at its best and least dignified

if you want to interact with a cat that doesn’t know you, sit down not facing it. glance at it occasionally and make an inviting noise, but mostly just play with your phone or whatever.

the cat will almost certainly come over to check you out sooner or later. it’ll stay out of arm’s reach because it doesn’t know if you’re a jerk. offer your hand and let the cat sniff. wait. if the cat wants pettins, it will indicate that by noofing your hand, flopping on its side, or coming in close.

the cat may want to be bros but not get pettins. in that case, it will sit or lie near you but out of reach. this is friendly! the cat is saying, you’re a person in my neighborhood! hi neighbor!

of course, it’s possible that the cat is a great big cuddleslut and will come love all over you. that happens too. but if it doesn’t, that doesn’t mean it’s an unfriendly cat. be chill and let the cat choose how close to get, and you’ll find most cats are pretty friendly.

Not Alone In Nature: A Walkabout Reflection

She climbed down the cliffs to the water without a clue of what she’d see there. The last time she saw the serene still waters of the lake it was accompanied by a picturesque sunrise and a morning mist blanketed the surface.

She soaked in her surroundings and saw the clouds growing darker. A plastic cup was caught in the grass by the bank and with the trash in front of her and a storm rolling in she heard the wind say,

“Do you see what I am seeing?”

As she climbed back up the rocks a moment later, her ring caught a ledge and slipped off. She fumbled a bit before she could catch it but once she did she whispered “I am a goddess.” Using the roots from two trees that were barely hanging on the edge, she hoisted herself up to the top and the wind rushed at her back blowing past her.

There might have been trash in the water she couldn’t quite reach and a breeze  a little cooler than she’d have liked but nothing could stop a goddess and when she finally believed that and gave herself a mental hug, mother nature turned right around gave her another.
