in the euphoria of bi buck i fear we've overlooked how important the scene with Maddie finding out about the basketball accident was. they didn't even need to say it, but it was painfully clear that hearing what buck did brought up memories about Doug for her. I'm glad she made it very clear to buck that it is never okay to hurt someone you love, not because you're jealous or they're 'ignoring you' or you're mad at them. it was very in character and something buck needed to hear even if he already felt so sorry about it

People complaining on Twitter that 911 is not putting out fires and barely go to fire calls anymore and my brother in Christ that’s how the real world is. They got that part so fucking correct 9/10 times Fire is responding for dumb ass shit not fighting fires.

the thing is. buddie could go canon in the last second of the very last episode of the series and their love story would still be such a deeply enriching, heartfelt, and romantic narrative. like. so much of buck and eddie's strength as a pairing comes from intention, comes from the quiet moments—conversations in the kitchen, the way they gently pry into each other's hidden spaces and reveal the vulnerable underbelly, the way they challenge each other's ability to find joy by also challenging each other's integrity as human beings and it's so. it's so deeply emotional and heartfelt and evocative. like. yes, i want a season—multiple seasons—of buck and eddie realizing their feelings and working through the kinks as they transition from best friends to boyfriends to full-time parents to husbands. but the story they've crafted thus far has already hit so many major points that a lot cishet couples don't even touch. i don't know what i'm saying. i don't know what the point of this post is. this isn't prediction or speculation or "buddie will go canon in [season]!" because that doesn't spark joy. but man. man. their love story truly is one for the ages, i'll say that.
