“The past year was life changing for me. I felt like I needed to let go of the baggage and start a new chapter. I also realized that I was very fixated on my hair in that I attached my beauty with it. I needed “good” hair to feel beautiful. So I made a decision in the new year to discover a new side of me and cutting my hear used to be my biggest fear so I thought, why not start with that challenge. I didn’t tell anyone about it except my sister and best friend. A week before my birthday I shaved it all off. Shaving my hair brought out a kind of confidence that I didn’t know I had. I expected to feel weird but I realized I wasn’t even thinking about what others would think and that was how I knew I made the right decision“
