You know what I am sick of hearing?  I am sick and tired of women saying they have terrible luck with men and everything always ends badly.  

Let’s address some of the issues with this:

1) “Terrible luck”:  No.  You have terrible taste.  

2) “Always ends badly”: No, no, no.  ALL relationships end except for one!  (Okay, maybe 2… 3.. you know what I mean.)   You’re just being a dramatic twat.  Was it supposed to end with a rainbow splashing into a pot of chocolate gold coins?  Did you think you’d dive into the water only to emerge like Ariel on the rock?  

You’re an idiot.  Who ever strutted out of a relationship being like, “man, that was a great time.  Well, nice knowing ya!”

No.  You emerge from most relationships in a temporary pit of sorrow that your friends float you out of with alcohol.

It happens to everyone.  Stop complaining.  You are not special.  No gold star, no participation ribbon, only liver damage and fat consumption.  

The problem isn’t them, it’s you.  Stop depending on them for emotional fulfillment.  Stop blaming them and start choosing men worth dating.  This has nothing to do with luck.  It has everything to do with knowing your own worth and not falling into a shoddy relationship just for the warmth only to be abandoned in the cold a few months later.

I have had enough.

So, let’s strike, “I have bad luck, poor wee little me!  Love is hard!”  and say, “I’ve had shitty taste thus far, so I’m going to take a hiatus and learn my own self-worth before crawling up someone’s leg, desperately hoping they validate me.”
