Abandoned Chinese Fishing Village Being Swallowed By Nature 

Shengsi, an archipelago of almost 400 islands at the mouth of China’s Yangtze river, holds a secret shrouded in time – an abandoned fishing village being reclaimed by nature. These photos by Jane Qing, a creative photographer based in Shanghai, take us into this lost village on the beautiful archipelago.

the ocean looked like a painting

Gigantic 16th century sculpture known as Colosso dell'Appennino, or the Appennine Colossus located in the park of Villa Demidoff (just north of Florence, Italy). It was erected in 1580 by Italian sculptor Giambologna (1529-1608, Italy).

The sun itself washes out a bit, but this drone shot of mountains in British Columbia catches basically the entire landscape painted gold at sunset.

the dawning of a new journey

Astronaut Terry Virts shared a bunch of video clips on Vine while he was on the International Space Station and I believe gave us the #spacevine hashtag. Here he is flying over the Aurora  - check out the thin clouds BELOW the Aurora here rather than in the way!
