Hi,

I just wanted to pop in and say I’m literally married now! And yeah still going through ups and downs mentally but like honestly I’m glad I’m alive because the future is scary, but exciting. Kinda wish I could tell this to my younger self who would post about wanting to die on here years ago.

Anyway just an update.

Liverpool FC Women are delighted to announce Vicky Jepson has been appointed as the club’s new first-team manager!

Jepson, who has been at the club since 2009, has signed a deal to take the reins of the Reds after being placed in interim charge alongside Chris Kirkland earlier this season.

As part of the appointment, Kirkland will continue with his role as goalkeeping coach as well as assuming the position of assistant manager.

“I am absolutely delighted to have been given the opportunity to take charge of Liverpool FC Women,” said Jepson.

“I have been at the club for a number of years now, so I know what is expected and I will be looking to carry on the good work from the players and staff in recent weeks.

“The club holds a special place close to my heart, so I am absolutely thrilled to have been appointed as the permanent manager. The players have been fantastic since Chris and I took charge last month so hopefully we can continue with our recent good run of form.”

Peter Moore, LFC’s chief executive officer, said: “We are thrilled to have appointed Vicky as the new Liverpool FC Women’s manager and have every confidence that the squad will thrive with Vicky at the helm permanently.

“We have conducted a thorough global search for the role, and in conclusion we have determined that Vicky’s knowledge of the club, her technical knowledge and qualifications, and the rapport that she has built with the team made her the standout candidate for the position.”
