First day of volunteering ! Theoretically I will be tromping around swamps doing GIS stuff and I am super stoked. Hoping we get a lot of time in the field after orientation.

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Literally have never been able to photograph one of these dudes because they're kind of skittish. Kayaking gave me the upper hand today.👌🏽💁🏼 Two of them were hanging out on Climbing Hempweed

Might be climbing Hempweed ?

Not sure what this one is, found in Florida

Closest thing in the book I found was a viceroy, but the book I have is fairly limited in the butterfly section...

There were tons of these little dudes chilling on various types of flowers in a meadow.

Can’t seem to find what kind of butterfly this is. The most similar ones I could find were Meadow Browns, and Speckled Wood. 

Found near the border of Germany and Austria.
