How do i worship Hel, Fenris, and Jormangund, and will Loki mind if i do?

As youโ€™re probably aware, those are Lokiโ€™s own children. Because of a prophecy that theyโ€™d bring destruction, the Aesir banished them in various ways. Hel was sent to rule the realm that bears her name, Fenris Ulfr was bound, and Jormungandr was thrown in the ocean. However, they seem to be on good terms with Loki himself. Or, at least, Lokasenna implies that Loki misses the Wolf, and Hel lends her dad her sweet boat and army of dead guys at Ragnarok.

In other words, there shouldnโ€™t be any issue with worshiping Lokiโ€™s children on its own. Loki might try to steer you away from them as an individual if he thinks you wonโ€™t get along, he wants you to focus on him for now, or he doesnโ€™t think youโ€™re ready for the lessons they have to teach, but ultimately, itโ€™s your decision.

Your worship of Lokiโ€™s children doesnโ€™t necessarily have to look any different than your worship for Loki on the surface. Food and drink offerings, along with prayer, are pretty standard throughout the pantheon. But if youโ€™re looking for ideas specifically:

For Hel:

  • Honor your ancestors, who may reside in her realm
  • Help make dead things new. Compost, participate in vulture culture, recycle, restore antiques, make art from found objects, etc.
  • Volunteer at senior centers, hospitals, and hospices

For the Wolf:

  • Channel your negative emotions into positive or productive outlets. Or, depending on the circumstances, endure them with as little harm as possible.
  • Let loose. Feel your emotions; donโ€™t bottle them up.
  • Donate to organizations that help wolves

For Jormungandr:

  • Do things that help protect the ocean, which is their home. Donate to environmental charities, volunteer for beach cleanups, etc.
  • Help organizations that aid refugees. Become politically involved with related issues, such as immigration reform.

For more ideas and personal experiences, youโ€™ll probably want to hunt down some devotees of those deities. Hereโ€™s a list, on the off chance you missed it.

Going through my photos and realized I forgot to talk about the cairns found in Jotunheimen National Park in Norway.

These cairns act as markers to help travelers navigate across the foggy, snowy mountains, which are otherwise very easy to get lost in. My tour guide didn't know exactly how old these structures are, but said they've been around for hundreds of years.
