ARM YOURSELF WITH APATHY.

“Perish the thought. You just don’t want the western border to go on high alert should something I hear catch my ire.” Despite the prod, there’s humor in her eyes, allowing him to take up her hands and squeezing his in return. “I missed you.”

“That is, of course, precisely my point.” He responded smoothly, drawing her hand towards that of his mouth — eyes fluttering closed as he pressed his lips against the gentle rise and fall of her knuckles. Loghain drew his thumbs over the length of his wife’s fingers in a slow, affectionate motion before lifting his head to look at her face again. Despite the serious nature of his response, it was in face, in jest

“And I, you.” His tone dropped into a rasp, grip loosening, and boldly, he reached to settle rough fingertips just above either elbow to draw northward. Callouses caught on the smooth material as he traced his hands up to her shoulders. “Far more than I am capable of expressing.”

Taking his arm the mage walks in stride at the soldier's side, breaking rank in a quiet moment to grace with an affectionate peck to his cheek with a warm smile at his long-missed presence. "Your return is a welcome one, after so long an absence."

The gentle grasp did not so much as surprise him as it was unexpected. Despite his affiliation to the Hero of Ferelden, it still took him back that despite everything. Nanna had been the first to forgive him — to move forward and work towards repairing the damage that had been done. It had been years, but still he had grown accustomed to the venom and vitriol of others. How quickly everyone had forgotten his contributions to Ferelden’s independence and overlooked the wrongdoings that had pushed him to making the decision that he had. An easy scapegoat, prepared to take the failings of a nation upon his shoulders. Though he did so willingly, for he would rather die than see the land he fought so hard to secure fall back into Orlesian hands.

Loghain’s gaze shifted to his peripherals, head turning just enough to look upon Nanna fondly while masking something of an appreciative smile. His expression did not shift, of course, and had instead sighed despite her excitement and show of daughterly affection. He could not afford to be soft, however Nanna no doubt knew him well enough to know what each grimace of his meant.

“You must be joking.” He responded almost bitterly before swallowing something akin to an instinctive scoff.

“And here comes my valiant husband, returned from what must be some galavanting adventure across the countryside. Not even a missive to keep your poor wife occupied?”

“And risk upsetting you?” Came a distant, albeit fond response during his approach. “I would much rather fall upon my own sword than have you worry after me.” As the distance closed, he came to stand before her; his quiver, sword and bow all set aside in favour of sweeping her hand up into both of his own.

Every single blog that I’ve come back to has had the ENTIRE THEME MESSED. I don’t understand the cropping for the background image anymore, and MAKER ONLY KNOWS if what looks good on my screen works for everyone else’s. I finished Kell’s layout yesterday and I was like ‘yas this will do you fabulous man you’ and then viewing it on my mobile it’s GARBAGE
