You were with Soonyoung, Chan, Minghao and your boyfriend Junhui at your house to discuss about a group project, but it was at this time that your period decided to kick in.
It's 3 p.m. On a Saturday. When is this meeting going to end? My god, my abdomen so isn't doing good to me right now. It hurts so much...
“So, to wrap up, can all of you please finish up your individual parts of the project by Thursday?" Soonyoung looked at all four of you in the eye.
“Yes, we will!" All of you answered simultaneously.
You were already running out of energy.
Chan and Minghao waved their goodbyes to you and started to gather their things. They walked out to the front door to get their shoes together, leaving Soonyoung and Junhui in the living room. Soonyoung had to talk to you while Junhui planned on staying with you prior to the meeting plan.
"Oh yes y/n, about your part- can you add a bit more? I think it's a bit lacking- you should do more research." Soonyoung turned to you.
"Sure.. Soon..young.." You managed to fake a smile but your weak voice kind of gave you away.
"Y/n, what's wrong?" Soonyoung's eyes started to be filled with worry.
"I'm not feeling well... but I guess you guys should go?" You did a gesture signalling that you needed to get to the restroom quick.
"Okay y/n, rest well! I'm sure Junhui will take good care of you! Right Junhui?" Soonyoung smirked over at his friend and earned a slight blush and nod from the latter.
You almost wanted to roll your eyes at your friend.
"Soonyoung! Hurry up!" Chan shouted from the front door.
"Bye y/n! Bye Junhui!" Soonyoung waved happily and dashed off.
In a split second, you ran to the restroom like your life depended on it after your 'house guests' were gone.
Oh my god, it really is the time of the month! My gut feeling was right! The pain that shot you through your abdomen next seemed to further confirm your current status.
Junhui heard the restroom door slam and was quite in a shock. He kept glancing over at the door worriedly until he saw you appear.
"Y/n! Are you okay?" Junhui hollered.
"What do you think..." You grimaced in pain as your response, put your arm over your waist and held it tightly and slowly made your way to the couch.
"It hurts...." You just felt like laying there on the couch forever.
"Hurt? Where does it hurt?" Junhui's voice was now thick with worry.
"Here." You pointed to your abdomen. "I got my period..."
"Let's get you to your bed then!" Without a warning, Junhui swiftly carried you, bridal style, to your bedroom and on your way there, you buried your face in his chest and then looked up to weakly smile at him, you knew he was being the sweet boyfriend like he always was.
"Lay here, don't move," Junhui instructed.
You leaned backwards yourself on the soft mattress, sighing in relief that you could finally get some rest after that long meeting.
"Wait, while I'm gone-" Junhui handed you a huge pillow. "Hug this and I bet you'll feel better," Junhui flashed a warm smile at you before he left to get snacks and a hot drink for you. The huge pillow was atop of your face but your cheeks warmed up under it as you thought of Junhui.
"Y/n~" After some time, Junhui called from the door.
"I got some hot coffee for you~! And your favourite chips!"
"Thanks babe." You muttered and rolled to the left side of the bed. You could hear from the sounds of shifting that Junhui was about to open the bag of chips.
"I just want to lay here though," You looked like you were about to choke out tears due to the pain.
"Then we shall, my princess." Junhui smiled but then looked at you worriedly- it pained him to see his one and only love like this. He felt like he needed to stay by your side and never leave until you felt alright.
Your boyfriend slid down on the right side of the bed, facing you. Immediately, you wrapped your arms around his torso and nuzzled your face in his chest.
"I love you," A muffled sound came out from your lips.
Junhui slowly stroked your hair and whispered, "I love you too, y/n. Just hug me to forget the pain you're having- because I'm here for you," He wrapped an arm around your shoulder.
The both of you laid in silence for a while, as Junhui knew that you needed some quiet time.
"Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky," Junhui broke the silence, murmured and smiled at you. He continued on talking.
"My girlfriend is such a caring person, she always puts others before herself, and she's such a beautiful person, inside and out, I just want to get lost in her pretty eyes for eternity, and she also has a heart that loves me so much, maybe even more than I love her..." Junhui looked down at you, but you were not looking up and you were silent- he knows that you were pondering about what he said, he knew you always diverted your attention when you were thinking deeply.
After a long silence, you blurted out, "Are you sure about that last part?" Then you looked up at Junhui and scrunched up your face.
"Cute." Junhui touched your nose earning a frown from you. "Yes, she's also cute~" He laughed at how adorable you were.
"Feeling better? Why not drink some of the coffee to warm yourself up?" Junhui let go of your shoulder and carefully held the cup of coffee for you.
You sipped on the coffee cup that was filled with half of delicious coffee and half of Junhui's love. Your cramps instantly felt much, much better.
"Y/n, remember when we first met?" He smiled widely at the thought.
You tilted your head up.
"Yes," You laughed.
Actually, it was quite a hilarious incident. You were working at your school's café for your part-time job and Junhui was a student who always came by to get coffee. Before serving customers their drinks, you had to write their names on the plastic coffee cups. At first, you always wrote Junhui's name wrong as you were someone who couldn't recall the names of others correctly and he started teasing you because of it. Through this, the both of you got to know each other- as he became a regular customer, moreover, he needed coffee to stay awake during classes too.
"I remember when it was that fateful day- you wrote 'I like you' on the cup instead of my name, I still have the cup kept you know," Junhui recalled lovingly, with his face turning a shade of red at the thought of it.
"Really?" You looked into his eyes as yours sparkled with amazement.
Junhui laughed and leaned down to pinch your cheeks and then he pecked your lips- you took that as an affirmation.
You giggled and then threaded your fingers through his soft, brown hair.
"Started from coffee cups, and now we're here," You said and then smiled brightly at your boyfriend, who you were certain that he was the one who you wanted to be with forever, for now.
