I made another Steve/Nat 2048 game since I couldn’t find my old one.  In case you want to play, too.  If I used your art/icons and you don’t want me to, please tell me.

Miss you & your stories! I hope you are doing well! Have you watched Endgame yet? What are your thoughts on it if so?

Aw, thanks.

Endgame was good enough to make me log back in on here and look around.  Also spawned a story in my head.  I’m almost to the point of wanting to write again.  I thought I was going to have to spend the summer taking more classes, but not now.  Fingers crossed I can spend it being inspired to write and learn how to quilt.

But I really did like the movie.  Only cried at the very, very end because I was reminded of my late grandpa.

Another request: Tony and Bucky dealing with an angry or irritated Steve?

Avatar

“You’re wasting your time,” Bucky warns.

Tony pauses his berating and beating at Steve’s door to glare at the other man.  “You may have known him a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away but--”

“I still know him better than you,” Bucky says confidently.  He smugly crosses his arms and leans against the corridor wall.  “But keep trying with that plant of attack.  I’m bored and it’ll be fun to watch.”

I'm so happy you are sticking your toes into the writing pool again. :D I look forward to reading whatever dabbles you come up with. I'm sorry about your headache. Feel better! ( I'd love a drabble from your Nadia verse if you feel so inclined. But, whatever you feel like writing will be great!)

He carries three things in his pocket as he fights: a ring, a small nub of a crayon, and a picture.

Natasha is at home unable to fight due to being eight months pregnant.  As soon as her fingers started to swell, she gave him her wedding band for safe keeping.  “Pregnancy brain is real.  Keep this so I don’t lose it.”

He had to steal what little was left of Nadia’s favorite color while she slept one night.  He replaced it with a new crayon of the same color.  His daughter was still dubious of the trade when she realized what happened the next afternoon, but she eventually forgave her father.

The picture is a copy from Natasha’s latest ultrasound.  It’s one of those 4D pictures.  No one has still explained to him what the fourth dimension is on a flat image, but his son’s face is too precious for him to be too torn up by that.

They come with him whenever he has to leave them.  A piece of each to bring him back home as soon as possible.

If you are still accepting these...

“Steve said you’ve been missing?” Bucky asks while cleaning his rifle.

Bruce pauses his systems check of the Hulk armor.  “Uh, yeah.  Kind of got pulled into a wormhole thing.  Wound up on an alien planet in some American Gladiator kind of set up.  But it was the Other Guy who was awake the whole time, not me.  I hear he got you back.  I mean, obviously, you’re here...”

“Yeah,” Bucky answers as he twists the muzzle back into place.  “There were some bumps.  But Shuri cleaned up my brain.  I’ve been hanging out here.  Farming.”

Bruce can’t help but smile softly.  “That actually sounds really nice.”

“Yeah, it is.”

Bucky hides his smile behind his hand.  His fake one.  The one that’s covered with a glove, even though the other one isn’t.  People just accept the Michael Jackson look without a second thought.  “Trust me, I’d rather not know what products Tony has made Japanese commercials for.  Him in that blue lipstick is seared in my brain despite my memory problems.”

Clint swears under his breath and waits for the next trivia question to pop up on his tablet.  “Go to the bar, they said.  Play trivia about yourself, they said.  It’ll be fun, they said.”

“Man, it’s not my fault you couldn’t remember your own birthday.”

1. Confused 2. Bucky (+ anyone you want) 3. "I don't think [x] is supposed to have feelings..." (or a variation there-of)

“They stare at me when I smile,” Bucky says quietly, his voice barely above the crackling of the campfire.

Steve takes a swig of whatever Wakandan alcohol is in the blue glass bottle that T’Challa handed him an hour ago before pushing it into Bucky’s flesh hand.  Tomorrow there will definitely be a battle.  Tonight they try and forget that fact.  “They’re just surprised that someone as old as you has a sense of humor.”

“You mean someone as--”

“No,” Steve cuts in sternly, looking Bucky dead in the eye.  “I don’t care what you’ve done before.  That wasn’t you; that was programming.  You’re allowed to have whatever piece of happiness you can find.”

“You sayin’ that to me or you?” Bucky questions.

“Shut up.”

Yes, still taking drabbles

You don’t have to do the requirements I set out.  Sorry about that.  Couple characters and a scenario works fine.

My head is threatening to blow up so they may not show up for a few days, but I am setting myself a time limit on getting them done.

1. Instant attraction 2. Spock/Kirk 3. Third party point of view

Sulu wonders if Uhura knows.  Probably.

He’s glad they can’t figure it out, this instant spark they have that leads to Kirk constantly ribbing Spock and Spock fueling the fire with silence and challenging looks.  Sulu remembers this phase with his husband.  He doesn’t miss it.

Sometimes he wants to lock the pair in an escape pod until they actually talk.  But he’s not sure he could stand being stationed here if their relationships actually progressed.  And the Enterprise is the best ship in the fleet to fly.

Clint and Phil's dog fron 180 Days (Birdie?) accidently escapes. Serious or funny, author's choice!

They don’t notice the hole under the fence until she’s already gone.  They realize it at dusk and reinforcements are immediately called in.  Clint follows the familiar path they take when they walk the neighborhood.  Kate cruises the western half of the street in her purple car.  And Bruce and Natasha volunteer to take the eastern half.  Apparently Gabe has reached the phase where he’ll only fall asleep while in motion, and the couple is grateful to have a purpose for all the gas they’ve been using up lately.

Phil, on the other hand, parks himself in the backyard.  He quickly set up items on the front porch--t-shirts that smell of both Phil and Clint, Birdie’s ratty blanket, a toy or two--and then sets up a similar sacrificial pile on the back deck.  He paces the grass while staring at his phone, screen lit up with the doorbell camera’s view.

Those two hours are the longest of his damn life.  But sure enough Clint shows up on the porch, bulldog in his strong arms.  “We’re building a fucking moat tomorrow,” he announces as he passes Birdie to Phil.  “Alligators and everything.”

“The alligators will eat her,” Phil points out.

“After tonight, I might be okay with that,” Clint lies.

A drabble request because I'm bingeing Voyager: longing, Janeway and Chakotay, salvage, match, and imagine

Avatar

She kneels down next to the plant.  It’s not Talaxian tomatoes that are blossoming, but it’s enough of a visual match in her mind to take her back to that planet years ago.  The place where she thought she could salvage herself, Kathryn.  And just when she’d started to let herself imagine what could be between her and Chakotay, Tuvok let them know that Voyager was coming back for them.  Robbing them.

She swallows, stands, and straightens her uniform.  Yet another what if that she can’t fulfill.  At least not in the Delta Quadrant.

1. Joy 2. May & Peter Parker (I love your Marvel fics!) 3. Sunshine, cold, park (I hope that fits the criteria!)

May shoves a hot chocolate into Peter’s hand, and even though he ducks his head she can still see a quick hint of a smile.  She takes a sip of her own hot drink, tilting her face into the sunshine.  This park is where they’ve come for years to walk and talk out things they haven’t yet figured out.  Even when the temperature is so cold that you can’t feel your toes thirty seconds after you step outside.

“Everyone says the first year is supposed to be your hardest teaching,” Peter grumbles.  “Then why do I still feel like I’m drowning?”

“Because the people who say the first year is the hardest are the ones who gave up after their first year.  Those of us who stick with it know better.  And we know that if you struggle, it means you care.”

I want to write, but I’m rusty

So help me out and submit some drabble requests?

Send me: 1 emotion, 2 characters, and 3 words to work in.

Fandoms I’ll write: Star Trek (any iteration, but TOS will be changed to reboot), Star Wars, Marvel, Battlestar Galactica, and whatever else you’ve seen me write.

How are you doing? It's been awhile since you posted so I just wanted to check in & make sure that you are doing alright. :)

I’m okay, just haven’t had a lot of fandom time lately with school starting back up.  But thank you so much for checking up on me.

180 Days and Counting, Year 3

Because the new school year is hard, sure, but new positions, new babies, and new feelings are definitely harder.
