Has this happened with a plant fusion before? An energy gate out of control? Or is that only something that's been calculated but hasn't happened yet? I also enjoy that this is a kind of followup to Chronica pointing out that real experience is different from shared data; Chronica has experienced this kind of thing before and distinguishes between plant fusions and "plants like you and me", while Domina doesn't... though arguably this could be a negative thing. Both the dependent plants and Knives himself are, ultimately, salvaged from the fusion through compassion and effort and, on Knives' part, sheer force of will. This division in Chronica's mind could be the result of trauma, not an actual understanding of what the fusion is, whereas the more open-minded Domina still sees the fusion as made of people, the way Vash does. Shame Domina doesn't live long enough for us to explore more of these differences between her and Chronica and I continue to want to know E V E R Y T H I N G about Chronica's backstory forever

Vash is an Earth history nerd and we love him for it. Woowoo's face changes on EVERY panel but his shitty smirk and little dimple are everything to me ;w; This comic is very dear to my heart and I can't wait to draw part 2 because set up/pay off.
