In all seriousness though he’s got a very very short fuse on his temper most the time. He seems to appropriately know when a bad time to get really loudly angry is, but if taking his anger out by beating and torturing Kid is any indication, he’s more likely to choke his anger down until he can let it out than actually let it go and calm down. Sometimes I see him as something of a ball of frowning anger, anything that’s going to make him angry or frustrated he doesn’t take lightly, sometimes ‘all or nothing’ with wild bursts of emotion.

He’s so good at anger that his canon is more powerful when he hates the target he’s literally able to draw his attack seemingly unendingly to Maka and Soul because he is so filled with hate for her. She’s in the way and Noah wants to collect her, and that’s all he needed to be filled with enough hate for that attack along with the yelling and insults.

Books. Old books. I don’t have a head canon on Gopher’s past, but in any possible future, books would do it. Noah, made from the book, and the Book of Eibon as an item, both hold very strong significance in Gopher’s life.

Imagine a future in death city, or anywhere really, after all the events of the manga. Going into a bookstore or a library and just getting a quiet small feeling inside of the past, of hiding out in an abandoned church in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the purest faith in Noah and the most sincere drive to help him achieve any goal. It’s over now, the book is gone, that isn’t his goal any more, but there’s just something subtle about the past that would still hold him.

On the one hand, I headcanon Gopher as pretty gay(or Noah sexual), but on the other, I also see and get the idea of that ship? I had some great interactions with a Maka before I went inactive, and I could really totally see it, especially in the bounds of an rp where you can change certain factors, or post manga ending where gopher, no longer a villain, probably needs to find a place to be (with Noah in tow).

That does make me wonder though if there’s any genetic connection in Grigori souls, or if it’s truly random. Maybe it’s an extremely rare recessive trait? Basically I’m wondering if two people with Grigori souls had a child, would it be statistically more likely to be as well, or would it be unaffected?

I headcanon that he keeps a journal! I think he probably doodles, but only in really bad stick figures. Little insulting ones to vent his anger that he can’t always show, like how he started beating up on Kid when he was angry? I don’t think he’s good at keeping it in, but I also don’t think he’d pop with anger like he does on Maka in a situation where it would be bad to him. Even when extremely upset he hid his tears from Noah, but he’s obviously very bad at it, so doodling his anger goes well together with my other headcanons.

He likes peaceful forested areas, clear skies, soft grass, flat rocks, but he isn’t big on rain and does not at all like stormy weather. I think he has a mixed and somewhat negative record with animals, and he mostly dislikes them, so the resident fauna of whatever area would also be on the disagreeable side of things
