Hi everyone!

So this post is a long time in coming and I think it’s probably unsurprising to everyone, but I’m putting this blog on indefinite hiatus.

I started work in August this year, and funnily enough, I absolutely love my job. I love the long hours, I love the weird hours of the day, I love how it’s all-consuming, I love the people I work with, and I love why I do this.

And tbh my job has taken over my life lol.

I love Yixing too but over the past month, I’ve barely done any translations, barely subbed anything longer than a few minutes, have managed to keep up with nothing in realtime, and frankly falling further and further out of the loop. And I optimistically thought this was transient, that I could kind of push through and sometime I’d be back here actively translating. But realistically I’m not leaving my field of work for the rest of my life (oop), and this isn’t necessarily something I CAN change. I have felt like I haven’t done any of the things that I’d started this account for, and haven’t been compelled to come here either. I still love translating but I just can’t be an actual translation account (and I hate dragging things out).

I hope I’ll work on one of Yixing’s projects with other translators soon, I hope I’ll continue to translate, and I know I’ll continue to support Yixing. So I wish everyone all the bestest best best in the world xxxxxx

p.s. I’ll be blogging and chatting shit on @pre-pense instead, but that won’t be a fandom account or a translating blog, it will just be me, chatting about shit I enjoy, about life, about work, maybe about other things too~
