im gonna cry this is such a plot twist

the photo on the right is from 2013 when bulgarians had some massive anti-corruption protests and in this case-a group of students facing a cordon of armed policemen sent to protect them MPs. the two didnt know each other at the time, but the photo made rounds regardless because it was so poignant and touching. at that time, the girl was just 15 and the violence and helplessness around the protest drove her to tears and she grabbed a policeman by the shoulders

2 years later, Ivan and Desi met in a much more normal way, and 2 years after that, they met at Sofia Pride again

by accounts from his friends, he did serve as a policeman and sneaked out to protest when he wasnt on duty; and finally quit because he couldnt fit in no longer. im not sharing this to make it some kind of ‘ooh good policemen’; im just so happy to see the difference between the two photos <3

- “Boyfriend” clothes - Straight girls calling their women friends their “girlfriends” - Straight girls pretending to be married on facebook to their straight woman friends. - Kissing a girl for men’s attention. - Being grossed out by lesbians and fetishizing gay men.
