      is he hogging the bed? absolutely. one of the two pit bulls ( both chocolate brown females with white streaks down their chests ) he’d recently adopted looks incredibly put out.

       she’s not a short girl, standing at near on five foot eight, but        she’s skinny, compact ; has few qualms, besides, about nudging        her knees into the few bare spaces of mattress on either side of        his torso, even if it ends with her perching on the small of his back,        chest flush to his shoulder blades and nudging the bridge of her        nose into the side of his neck, just under the jawbone.

      his grin brightens, but he doesn’t make a move towards her, even if he absolutely loves when a challenge is issued— whether intentional or not. then he does move closer, if to give her a little pinch to the side.

      he grins, quick and easy, at her words and wiggles his fingers at her. she’s on the fonder side of his spectrum ( and not many are even there ) and he knows she’s likely aware of this.
