If you want to reach out to me non-anon I can arrange to send you a print. It's pretty small, like post-card sized and won't really be worth it on inrpnt.

rediscovered this illustration I did long ago for a zine, depicting The Soul Canto from the Qun:

A traveler asked the Ashkaari: "What was your vision of our purpose?"

The Great Ashkaari replied: "I will tell you a story."

A vast granite statue stands on an island, holding back the sea. The heavens crown its brow. It sees to the edge of the world. The sea drowns its feet with every tide. The heavens turn overhead, light and dark. The tide rises to devour the earth, and falls back. The sun and the stars fall to the sea one by one in their turn, only to rise again. The tide rises, the tide falls, but the sea is changeless. Struggle is an illusion. There is nothing to struggle against.

not at all bothersome, i like to know what people are interested in. i actually have a print of it here and i also sell this print at conventions.

(if anyone is attending Litebox Expo in Pasadena, CA this year, that's my next spot!)

my shop is down until further notice but i will be rebuilding inventory for cons in 2023, so i DO intend to re-stock the ice cream charms online eventually and will post abt it when i do! but likely not very soon, think late in the year or early next...!

before we go…  is a quiet, canon-compliant Kingdom Hearts comic set moments before DDD’s secret ending, when Riku is sent to pick up Kairi from the Destiny Islands.  During their short journey together, he finds that he has a lot he needs to get off his chest, and it seems Kairi does, too. This is just the first few pages!

The whole thing is very good and worth a read.  A really nice art-style (and not only, like, character art; there’s nice backgrounds and good paneling and cool layout choices).  So many of my favorite character notes show up - look at the way Kairi tosses aside her bike up there at awhisper of the call to adventure.  And there’s paopu stuff and jealous KH1 Riku and observant Kairi and perhaps-overly-penitent Riku (where yes, he certainly has stuff to make up for, but also he gets stuck in his own head about it) and the whole mood is my favorite thing, of reckoning with the past and drawing out needed lessons from it and moving forward.  Chef’s kiss.
