Tu ne jab phool kitaabon se nikaalein honge,
Dene waala bhi tujhe yaad toh aaya hoga.
I always have to listen to this noha a few times in Muharram (and post it yearly..) - it’s a dialogue between a mother and her young son where the latter acknowledges his mother for bringing him to the mosque to mourn Hussain from a young age and for teaching him the respect for various Shi’i symbols and practices, but now he asks in what manner one is to even cry for the Imam, so the noha finishes with his mother answering:
Jaari tha jaise ashk-e-Sakina ka silsila
Jaise Imam-e-Asr ki aankhein hain Karbala
Rote hain aise jis tarah roti hain Fatima
Maa ne kaha Hussain ko rote hain is tarah
“To the likes of Sakina’s endless tears
Just as the current Imam sees nothing but Karbala
One is to cry as Fatima cries.”
My mother said this is how one weeps for Hussain
