I love this little moment for a number of reasons, the main ones being: 1) InuYasha is learning that Kagome needs a little time and space to process when she's upset—compare this moment to earlier scenes when he tried to force confrontation/conflict resolution too early—yet he's still a solid presence there with her in the middle of it, and 2) Kagome gets a chance to see that InuYasha can, in fact, handle her flaws.
