why I’m not going to the rep tour:
i CANT.
guys, please help me. my heart is actually slightly breaking right now😭
i spent three months watching videos everyday, to get such a good place in line…and my parents tell me that I can’t go.
ALSO, since I live in Taiwan, I don’t exactly belong to a country where I can choose tickets for immediately. i dont know where I’m going for college yet, and probably won’t know until January. By then, all the tickets will be sold out and I’ll be crying by myself in the bathroom…When we were waiting for TS6, I even calculated that I would make it just in time for the tour, because I’ll be going to the States for college…
I honestly don’t think I’m ever going to meet Taylor - I flew to Tokyo for the first show of 1989 wt, and I was ripped off for my tickets cuz scalpers😭 Since TaylorSwiftTix was a thing, I’ve been trying so hard to get priority so that the same thing wouldn’t happen. Also, I’ll be in the States by the time the second half of the tour is taking place, so perfect, right? No.
Dearest Taylor, I’m going to ask my parents if they’ll let me go if I start working next semester. If they still say no, then all is lost. If I really can’t go, please just know that I’ll never stop supporting you, loving you, and looking up to you. I hope we meet someday, maybe on the streets or the next stadium tour. I love you, and I regret it so much that I won’t be able to go to a reputation concert that I’ve been looking forward to for three years 😭

I have an incredibly vivid memory of the first time that I heard Dear John. Dear John is the savage dismantling of John Mayer written and performed by Taylor Swift in the manner of a John Mayer song. It is astonishing. It is honestly one of my favorite songs of the last fifteen years. It’s incredible. It’s impeccably executed. It is Taylor at her meanest, at her most vindictive, and most wounded.
