Maybe you’re not quite as “alone” as you think. Maybe there are people who care about you who don’t say it every day. Maybe there are people whose life you’ve touched – even briefly – that think about you and are happy you touched their life. Maybe you should understand that, while you’re lonely, I promise you, your presence in their lives makes (or made) their life better. It may not fix your loneliness, but being someone’s happy thought – even occasionally some weeks – should make you smile.
